Thanks @sam2106...I don't have any current visa left and yes worried that i have to start from scratch...I have to travel by end of July latest and i am hoping to get it by this week or next. If I recall apparently it takes 15 days, so worried that i may not get it ontime before my travel. Its appauling how they let people suffer for several months for the amount of money we pay. Why can't they process everything by 3 months max and complicated ones within 6 months by the very late!

The person who came up with the 6 months service period..their pp should be taken from them for 6 months and left in a lurch..they'll then change the procedures.

HO should get more staff with the money we pay to process the applications faster..6 months wait for a British passport, I don't think the British would tolerate...

anyway rant over!!

Cheers guyz,
KM

KM25, I also have to travel end of July in business trip. Just like Sam, am fine risking it and planning my trip. I am sure we'll recieve our pass back within 2 weeks. Me, you and Sam all applied on the same date and this is our 19th week now.. I have a feeling one of us will recieve it on Thursday 12th of July with the rest following within few days . As soon as Lovelyislovely and GBEMI gets their passport, it will be us next .[/quote]

That is bit progress news, NOG!

Although I just can't understand the logic or process of UKBA though - I applied on April 24th and still waiting for Biometrics letter, you received your letter and did Biometrics on 4th July and still I am waiting Although I am happy for you when we are getting progress.

@Dhakavillage1 - there is no logic to it mate. I believe there are some people who applied in March and are still waiting for the biometric letter. The process is simply very inconsistent. There is no guarantee that doing biometrics will favor a speedy outcome.

Applied for ILR for myself (5 yrs continous employment in UK, same employer, work permit 2 yrs, Tier 2 (SW) for next 3 yrs) and dependant spouse (PhD student, in UK for 4 yrs), no criminal conviction:

Application received by UKBA: 23rd Feb 2012
Application fee taken out: 26th Feb
Acknowledgement Letter received: 28th Feb (posted 24th Feb)

ILR granted: 25th June
Received passports and all documents by Second Class Recorded Delivery: 29th June

Total wait time: Just over 4 months.

HELLO EVERYBODY I GOT THIS FROM ANOTHER SECTION BUT QUIET INTERESTING TO ME. WHAT DOES YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT IT?

It is worthwhile to write to your local MP (give a google search, go to the website of the person, see if they have any proforma for visa-related complaints). In my case, after waiting for 3 months, I sent a letter to my local MP (by post, preferable) alongwith UKBA acknowledgement letter, and completed casework form. She responded within a week saying that her office has contacted UKBA and waiting for response. After waiting for two weeks, I enquired again and received a prompt reply (email) this time that UKBA can confirm that my application has been processed and is on post. They also gave me the Recorded Delivery tracking number.

Thanks to everyone in the various forums for their post as it helped me a lot in my days of agonizing wait. Good luck to all.

I concur with this. Applied in the first week of March and still no biometric letter.

I also wrote to my MP (who wrote to the UKBA on my behalf) in an effort to speed up the application. No luck there either as my MP got a standard letter back from the MP's Liaison Unit at UKBA, saying that my application had been received, would be processed in due course and that I would hear from them directly if any further information was needed, or a decision made.

Oh well, the wait continues.

So so true! Applied 27th of March, and still no biometric letter! (my case is so straight forward aswell) Did biometric enrollment for a previous application in September last year which was so swift and stress free, now waiting 4 months no reply! NOG and others applied after me and have received biometric enrollment letters! God save us from these HO lot and their inconsistency! SMH

So after typing my previous message, i decided to call the home office AGAIN to enquire about my biometric letter! Waited about 14 minutes, (which i am sure is the standard waiting time now as my previous call took about the same time before it was answered). Anyway after explaining the frustrating wait for my letter to the agent, she decided to look into it for me. After putting me on several holds, she came back and said she is puzzled as to why i havent been issued a biometric letter yet, she then took my mobile number and address (like they dont have it already, *rolling eyes*) and said someone will call me/i should receive a letter from them within 2 weeks to follow it up! and if I dont, I should call back!
I dont know what to make of it but just an advice to those waiting to try and call them, this people have applications just waiting unattended. They are that incompetent trust me. Four months and even their agent has no clue what is going on! Absolute joke!

Ey! How about me, Sam, and KM25? We all applied end of Feb :?

Only one applicant received ILR in the last 10 days. What's going on? Let's hope this a good week.
Thanks antonyos...hope you guyz are holding up to this nail biting moments of waiting..I have been checking the post with no luck yet...i tried to call the HO but the option to enquire the progress didn't seem fruitful..

I hope we get the ILR this week as i have to travel urgently and been holding it but will have to recall my application next week no matter what..so i hope we get it this week!! fingers crossed and with lots of prayers..

Best wishes to everyone..and i've been relying on @loveislovely as a guiding point for the rest of us following him/her.

BW,
KM
@Km25!

I am pleading to you, please sit it out and wait, do not do anything that you may regret, you have been waiting a long time, and I know you may need to travel urgently, but I am sure it would be worth it, if you just wait a bit longer, get your ILR, and you can make many urgent trips after that.
Do you agree? Think of the importance of the ILR as oppose to the withdrawal.... good luck.
All for one, one for all..... Peace
