BRP & Passport : still waiting.

6 years student, 2 years PSW, 1.5 years Tier 2, 6 months 3c leave then varied my application to ILR.

no gaps, less than 3 months out of country, all stamps are there in the pp.

is this complicated, now it is more than 6 months. !?

FED UP of expecting the docs/BRP from the postman/courier.

could someone enter into the skydrive please.

thanks
:D :D :D
Hello, I'm new to the forum and will be sharing my experience of this starting next month.

What is the "skydrive" people are referring to here?

Further Consideration

Post by Ludlow » Mon Jul 22, 2013 12:18 pm

Hi All,

I called UKBA today, as I am tired of waiting for the door bell to ring and hand me, my passport and other documents.

Well now as per the lady on the phone; my application is in waiting for 'Further Consideration' . What does that mean? And does anybody know how long it takes to come a decision from 'Further Consideration' mark?

My residence status in UK has been as follows:
3 yrs diplomatic stay
3 yrs Student Visa
1 year PSW
3 yrs Teir 1 general (which is due to expire next year June)

Don't get it, why UKBA is taking so long for a simple application (never had any issue in the past with visa, one time my visa renewal application was renewed within a week.)

Any thoughts guys?

Thanks!

Just to follow up my earlier post... My husband (British) and I spoke to the UK Border hotline together via handsfree. No application status can be provided until the 6 months deadline is up. The lady discouraged us to withdraw. We were shocked to hear that it will take 20 working days to get back all my documents. It means I will miss my current visa expiry date in August and best of all, I cannot even go for spouse visa application in UK now.

I don't know how long this (fill another form with a covering letter) will take them to process. Withdraw and book an appointment is much faster, isn't it. There are so many appointment slots for spouse visa application.

I personally think, you have waited 5 months and so you should wait a little bit more

All of us (u can see the skydrive) have waited 7 to 8 months on an average...if this makes feel any better

withdrawing your application will take atleast 20- 30 days and then you have to book an appointment and as you said you might miss your expiry date...so thats not going to be a wise option... atleast after waiting for 5 months

secondly, don't vary your application to spouse visa through postal service ...then your stuck in an another queue from the start...

so simply wait...I know its painful but there is nothing you can do

Sorry

ILR 10 year Student dependent 10 year

Post by butwhy » Wed Jul 24, 2013 9:53 am

Category: 10 year ILR (Student and PSW dependent for 10 years)
Applied: March 09, 2013
Biometric: March 23, 2013
Approved: July 22, 2013
Received BRP: July 24, 2013
Passports and other docs: not yet

I applied my wife's ILR on 10 year student and PSW dependent basis. Same application form as I did for my self last year. My application (as main applicant) took 6 months exactly whereas my wife's took only 4 months and a week.

GOOD LUCK ALL of you
