I've updated the post, I meant 30th Sept. It's been over a month and 6 days :(
Maxwell wrote: Don't worry. 6 days including weekend is too short for biometrics letter to arrive anyway. Look at Skydrive for more detailed timelines. :)

Thank you for congratulations guys! :D You will get yours soon.

Currently processing time is less than 5 month. Is there anybody on the forum waiting for long residence ILR five months or more .

@esmsi

There is someone called amjadleeds who is waiting for more than a year now.

On a separate note, I still haven't got my acknowledgement letter yet. I've posted my application on the 24th Oct. Paid with a bankers draft so can't even check if they have taken the fee. Is it too early to expect the acknowledgement letter? Totally in the dark here.

@Maxwell. Congratulations mate. Your suggestions to my queries were highly valuable. Enjoy the well earned freedom :)

You should expect your acknowledgement letter a week up to 10 days after you sent your application. I received mine 5 working days later.

It's not too early, not too late. Try to relax, they don't do it within very certain fixed time. Look at Skydrive, it varies, sometimes quicker, sometimes slower. Some people don't get acknowledgement letters, just biometrics. But I never saw anybody on the forum whose biometrics letter was lost in the post. I think their speed is rather unpredictable, but in recent weeks they process applications faster, they may still get slower with things like biometrics letters. It's big organisation.

Thank you very much for your congratulations! :)

It's longer than average but not exceptionally long. I would wait little longer and if no result try to contact them. I would wait another week or so. I know it's frustrating but maybe your application would be processed quicker. Some people get biometrics letter fast but application slower.

This situation does not mean or indicate that you will wait long overall.

I got ILR approval letter today! I will update when card arrives.

Please kindly update Skydrive on me.

18.2 weeks since application and 16.6 weeks since biometrics.

They are getting faster now, hopefully you all will not wait very long. Also, the overall amount of this type of applications is reduced this year, so it should also help to process them quicker now.

:P :D
Maxwell

congrats buddy... 18 weeks is extremely quick. i applied 26/07 so not far behind i guess. however it seems for certain nationalities (or shall i say non-south Asian nationalities) it takes longer. would you mind disclosing your nationality ?

STILL WAITING FOR MY BIOMETRIC LETTER?

Post by londonbd2013 » Fri Nov 08, 2013 9:03 pm

Hello every one, I'm new to this forum. I've applied for ILR (10 year long residence through SET LR Form) . I got my acknowledgement within a week time & payment was cleared by my bank. But I'm still waiting for my BIO METRIC enrolment letter. It's just over 3 weeks now? Should I wait a bit more. Hopefully nothing to worry.

MAXWELL U R THE BEST & VERY HELPFUL. PLEASE ADVISE ME WHAT TO DO.MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE

Thanks my friend. I'm not professional. Just my opinion. It looks like there are some delays now for some people with biometrics letters. Probably it will arrive soon, if not, contact them, nothing else can be done I suppose. Don't worry so much, even if it was lost in the post, it is not your fault but I think most probably it will arrive soon.
