DO NOT start multiple threads for your queries regarding your ILR application :!: :!:
Apply under Tier if you have dependants. Absence letter does not need to mention the days but it is better if it does

If you settled under SET(LR) your dependants cannot get ILR under PBS. They must switch and start their 5 years from scratch under the family route.
There is NO requirement that dates must be shown

More questions please

Does the HO require all the passports when someone applies to ILR from tier 2 ? One of the passports I had was withdrawn and no longer have it. Do I need to provide any support documents or a cover letter would be fine as the HO have Their records for people who enter and leave the country ? What are these please?

You need passport(s) covering your qualifying period. Copy of previous passport is fine also.

As you are aware I need to submit absence letter from my employer when I switch from tier 2 to ILR . Is this absence letter ok ? Or I need to ask my employer for more information to be included?

Thank you Zimba !
So no need to mention the exact days on the letter , correct ? Also , when I write the cover letter , do I need to mention the days I worked remotely while abroad ? And does my employer need to confirm these ‘ remote working days ‘ or they are covered under ‘ previous absences of MR XXX have been approved and are in line with the company absences policy .’

Sponsors are not required to report any absences from sponsored employees where those absences have been the result of the consequences of the coronavirus outbreak.

Work visa sponsors do not need to update the Home Office if workers are now working from home provided that the switch to home working is because of the pandemic.

Yes but does mean the employer doesn’t need to include those days I was working remotely in the absence letter I will require when I apply for ILR ?

If so, what should I write under the ‘ reason of absence’ in the cover letter I will submit ? I just worry if I declare the remote working day and the employer doesn’t that would create a clash and the HO may raise questions?

No need
Stating that all your absences outside UK were authorised by them is enough.

Thank you
How about my cover letter? Or that section in the application that requires information about absences in terms of duration and reason for absences. Do I need mention the remote working days ? If not , what should I write there ?

You can mention remote working due to pandemic in the reason section (online form). If your employer has authorised your absences, you will face no issues.

Thank you
And I assume no need for
My employer to write the ‘ remote working days ‘ in the absence letter ?

Do you think the HO will require a proof as to why I worked remotely considering it was only for two days ? Is the HO strict on short term absences especially those took during the pandemic?

@zimba
Your documents should not be older than 28 days from the date of application i.e. the date you submit and pay online. Biometrics appointment date/documents submission date is irrelevant.
