Another student visa for a part time Master's/PHd?

Currently on a graduate visa (after a Master's) and I will be around 1 year short of being eligible for ILR after this visa ends. Finding a sponsor is difficult so I'm looking for a backup plan just in case. Then I found out that student visa for a part time graduate level study is a actually a thing which means that the case worker need to grant permission for the whole duration of the course. And for me I can just apply for a 1 year master's and do it in 2/3 years, or 3 years PHd for 6 years. The benefit is that I only need to pay a faction of the cost, when I obtain ILR after one year, I will quit the course.

I understand the downside is that no any kind of work is allowed. It is fine for me as the first year I'll be paying just a fraction of the fees. Also I could leave UK and find a temporary job elsewhere for some time.

I just can't believe that it is real as it seems people can abuse this rule and create a lot of trouble for Home Office, probably like what I'm doing... Unless they have really thought it through, such as no work allowed will be a big obstacle for majority of people considering it.

My questions are:
1. Is there a catch anywhere that I missed?
2. Will I draw any suspicion for applying another student visa or quitting my study after obtaining ILR?
3. Will I be allowed to enter/leave the country for the duration as I like?
4. If I can find the course, how likely will I be granted the visa? Will it be just the same as full time course?
5. Will home office try to identify me or hunt down the postgraduate courses for international student in the UK after seeing this post???!

I'm familiar with the academic progression rules, so no need to explain that to me. Although I need some advice on what course should I apply for if I decide to study another Mater's with already a Mechanical Engineering (MSc). Think I'll just make another post for this one tho.

Also, why posts can't be deleted here? So that they could be used against me some time in the future??

1. There is nothing illegal in what you want to do.
2. You are free to do as you wish after ILR
3. If you have a valid visa yes. Why not ?
4. If you qualify under the rules then you can get a visa.

Hello, I'd like to keep "246". But will the post created with account "135" be deleted?

I didn't mean to create 2 accounts, I created justarandomperson135 long time ago and then forgot about it. Recently I tried to create account with 135 again, it told me username already existed, that's why I created 246. And then when I logged in I used 135 somehow lol. Just made a mess at the end.

No idea what I was doing , it was easy to create accounts hence easy to mistakes .. anyway, how do I close the account? is someone going to do it for me or do I just stop using it
