Applying for Naturalization after ILR

Hi All

I got my 5 year work permit got converted into ILR last year (2009).

When can I now apply for Naturalization/British Passport ?

I was under impression that I should be able to apply in 2010 itself as I was on 5 year work permit.

Please let me know whether it will be 2010 or 2011.
