Thanks afreenhaider86.

How is the availability for booking the Test now? Is it easily available or did you have to wait?

Where did you take the Test and when is your ILR due if I may ask?

Were the actual questions in the Test easy and from the mock Tests that you practiced?

The availability might vary according to test centres. I booked my test at Ipswich but there were several slots available for other nearby centres (Luton/Ilford) when I was booking (end of June). You can register and log in to check using your postcode to see available centres. https://www.lituktestbooking.co.uk/litu ... ng-started

You could book a tentative one and keep checking back for more suitable dates. Many people cancel and a suitable one might become available later. You can cancel/re-arrange a test at least 3 days before the test if you find a more suitable time/date/centre.

Test questions may be worded differently from mocks but are generally familiar if you do a lot of online mocks. I've got my LIUK and NARIC sorted so just waiting to be eligible in August (completing 5 yrs). Fingers crossed!

Many Thanks afreenhaider86. And Congratulations for passing your Test.

Does the application form to book the Test ask for the type of ID used? If yes, did you mention Biometric Residence Permit or just Residence Permit? Or is it a drop down with pre-populated values (e.g. Passport, BRP etc.) to select from?

Thanks anub2016 🙂. The application is pretty straightforward and there will be a dropdown menu to select id. Be sure to take the same id with you to the test and sign the same way on the day of test as on the id. All the best!

Also apologies to moderators for linking a website in previous post. It was a free site so thought might help ppl in their prep. Ddnt know it’s against rules-sorry!
What else did you have to carry to the Test Center besides the ID Document? Is it just the Address Proof and what did you use as the Address Proof?

Does Life in the UK Test need to be taken in 1 of 5 centres closest to your home address? Or is it possible to take it anywhere in the UK, if you need to apply for naturalization sooner?

I think you can book whatever centre you want as I ddnt find any restriction while booking or in the terms and conditions on the official website https://www.lituktestbooking.co.uk. You could contact them to confirm- ‘By telephone on 0800 015 4245, Monday to Friday between 8am and 8pm’

This thread is quite long, I've tried to scan read it, some posts seem to be veering off-topic.

What is most important to me and probably others is clarity on what to do if you cannot get a LIUK test before the date of your visa expiry.

I've seen the advice to submit application before test is taken, but I am still not 100% clear what you enter on the online form. If you select 'Yes' to passing test then I am fearful HO could later reject application etc because I had given 'false information' on the form. If you select 'No' to have you passed test and 'No' to exempt, what happens next and will it cause a problem submitting the online application?

LIUK test centers have opened up since June.
Have you tried booking your test?
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

I have booked a test for early September as that is all I could get at Luton and it didn't show blue for any others indicating availability at any other centres. If I'd tried booking earlier I would likely have got an earlier test date, but I didn't. The current visa expires early August. Therefore I am asking about the process for applying without having first passed the LIUK test.

Refer to page 2 of this thread. The advise offered has been is to proceed with the application without providing LIUK details and update it before biometrics

When did you book the Test? Are you not able to book it at any available Centre in the UK?

Is anyone else facing an issue with availability for the LIUK Test? How is the situation currently?

How long is the wait before one could get an appointment?

@anub2016, You can check this yourself by registering here:

@gpm468
I see quite a few slots for mid-August at Ilford. Keep checking and slots could open up when people cancel

Many Thanks.

What other documents are required to be taken to the Test Centre other than the BRP?

Is it just the Bank Statement as the Proof of Address and does it need to be Stamped by the Bank?

You need to take the photo ID that you stated when you were registering for the test. You would have got an email from UKVI which mentions clearly the document you need to take with you. Make sure you take the very same document - it will be sufficient. In my case it was my passport but it has to be a valid document, i.e. not expired.

Thanks. Are you applying through the T2 route? I haven't registered yet, so was wondering what address proof did you use?

I thought that BRP is the preferred ID document used by the T2 applicants to book the LIUK Test.

Thanks for the replies. Hopefully last question. I have answered No to have you taken LIUK test and No to being exempt. I was surprised it didn't ask for more information at this point. I have got to the payment/sumbit application stage of the online application and I can't see anywhere to provide 'additional information' where I could explain the reason for these answers and confirm the test is booked for date xxxx, can anyone advise?

NO explanation is needed. Upload/provide the LIUK info later

Hi all

My Life in the UK Test was booked today in Croydon at 3:45pm and I received an email at 1pm saying that the test had been cancelled due to 'Force Majeure'.

I have booked this test months ago and the earliest next date is 21st September which is weeks away - I am worried as I have submitted my ILR application to UKVI already on 17 August.

I have the following queries:

1) Does anyone have any experiences with test cancellations out of your control? It seems unfair I have to rebook and wait another month when I did not cancel the test myself?

2) What impact does this have on my application? I take it I cannot submit any documents until I have the LIUK Pass certificate? Am I unable to book an appointment whenever I am able to without passing the test?

Any advice on the above would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Is the URN of the Test Result available on the LIUK Account or is it only sent through an email after the Test?

I have heard that many people have had difficulty receiving the email after their Test.

Many Thanks.
