Date of Birth Error and ILR Expiry date.

Hi All,

I received my Son's BRP card of his ILR which has incorrect date of Birth, basically it was my Solicitor's fault who typed a completely wrong date of birth which I assume could be for hers another client, when she sent me application I made her realize she has done a mistake, she gave us a covering letter which explained that date of birth was a type and mentioned correct date of birth in hers letter, she also mentioned that passport is attached and also BRP was attached, when we went for scanning and thumb impression we are not sure that guy scanned that letter or not.

May I ask how it could be rectified and will I have pay a correction fee?

Second question is my ILR is expiring on 31-12-2024 which was issued back in 2015 but now my wife's and Son's expiry is same as mine which is about three years, Is it usual?
what is the procedure for extension of ILR and how much will it cost?

If your BRP expires on 31 December 2024
You do not need to tell UKVI if your BRP expires on 31 December 2024 but you have leave to stay longer.

UKVI will update their information on how to update your BRP in early 2024. You do not need to do anything and your immigration status will not be affected.
