I have emailed BRP delivery team but they are unable to help and are saying that there is a production/technical issue. I will appreciate it if those of you who have received their grant letters can also post BRP receipt dates.
Hello, I think the people from last week had to leave all documents, we didn't get to keep them. I also know people who hat appointments around your time and who have received their BRP cards so not sure why you haven't received yours. I think they say technical issue no matter what is going on, it's all lies...

Hey Missgolightly... Congratulations on the (semi) awesome news about receiving a confirmation. Semi coz I think you would agree- getting the documents in hand would be the final victory! For me even some news..any news.. seems like a distant pipe dream :-(

Jeez.. I wish I had befriended someone there... well I don't blame myself as I was only seeing 'red' the 4 hours I was there! I couldn't even comprehend making a connection that could help me in any way. My partner had to tug me down twice as I was about to raise this operatic voice of mine :-P

Thanks to you.. and all other folks for your constant positivity. As stated earlier- I am standing shoulder to shoulder with you in regards to complaining to different sources. I'm not very keen on complaining to the agency directly as I know thousands have already done it.. and they've made their answers 'automated'.

Moreover, I couldn't agree more about the technical glitch being a false portrayal. I believe there is a huge backlog of applications and they just don't have the manpower or resources to deal with it.

I just hope they remember that all of ours (on this thread) were 'premium' appointments. (In other words- when I pay for a business class seat- how would I feel flying to Vancouver in economy?) Jeez, not only that- presently I feel I'm standing and flying in utter turbulence coz there is huge uncertainty about the final outcome.

The very best of luck to all my compadres on this forum :-)

I got home last night to find a card from Royal Mail advising me I had some post to be signed for. Picked it up this morning and it was the return of my documents and a note saying my BRP will be sent in 7 - 10 days.

The letter was dated 05/07/12 so they had my answer on Thursday but I didn't receive a phone call.

Like Missgolightly, I had also requested they post my documents back, so maybe they thought they didn't need to call, even though I had requested a phone call to advise me of their decision. All my panic could have been over on Thursday if they'd just called!

Anyway, I'm very happy to have been granted my ILR and wish everyone else the best of luck in theirs!

I agree with you virgo - the selection of applications seems very random even though i was assured that its on a top priority basis on first come first served - but obviously not!

Congrats to all of you who had positive response already and lets just hope the rest of us are 'off the hook' soon too.

My application was on 3rd July 3.20pm. I will keep you posted if i hear anyhting back.

I applied on the 3rd at 10.40 am. Till now no news, no phone call, no letter ethier. So much of a.. "you will get a call within 2-3 days"!! It's been a week today, no phone call! zero! zilch! nothing!

Thank God for this forum at least we know whats happening, deep down I like to believe that we will get our answer this week.

Chin up everyone! :-)

I feel its not premium service and they shouldn't charge us for same. We pay extra to get same day result but here I can feel all applicants are going through same mental trauma of an postal applicant.

Anjantalove,

Mental trauma of an postal applicant is understatement , I have palpitation since I left the HO building on the 3rd!!! ( and I agreed that we should be charged Premium Service, or at least we should get some refund back!)

Hi RATATOLLY,

I only had the one delivery from Royal Mail, the envelope included my outcome as well as all my documents (passport included) so no separate passport courier for me.

My card from Royal Mail also said wait 24 hours but I couldn't... so I tried my luck and went to the post office first thing this morning (approx 18 hours after I got the card) and it was there.

ratatolly I was told that if there was a problem with the file I would be contacted and that files aren't rejected for minor reasons. I'm sure the outcome is favourable!! I'm having mine delivered to my office to avoid this kind of situation. I am just trying calculate a timeline with everyone's feedback and I feel like mine should have been here by now.

I'm going nuts!!

I had my appointment for ILR at croydon today and to my surprise I got my ILR approved, though it felt like it was a long long day. My appointment was booked for 10:50a.m I entered the building about 10:15a.m and than finally got out of the building with the approval letter at 4:00p.m. My case was quite a straight forward one 5years on work permit with the same employer but still it took case worker exactly two hours to give me decision on my case as he took my documents around 2:00p.m.
well to cut the long story short it was indeed a long day but it doesn't feel now after I got the approval in the end. I wish best of Luck to everyone.

Hey Adil you are lucky, but I've just heard that today's afternoon appointments were sent home as we have been. So the problem persists, and it is usually for afternoon appointments as it was on the 2nd when I was there....

They seem to not be able to resolve the issues, and as they are related to be short staffed, unlikely they will any time soon.

Virgo, I'm with you from the 2nd and I do believe we will get our files in the coming day or two...I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of us. :D

I tried calling that number (0870 606 7766) but no one is answering. I will keep trying. If someone gets through please do post here!

I've called that number and got through and it is ABSOLUTELY USELESS. They are unable to help anyone unless the file was submitted SIX MONTHS ago. What a disgrace. Don't waste your time!!!

oh :-( thanks misgolightly... that means I have no option but to sit and wait... well fingers crossed. wish they'd just hurry up

anyway, I was going mad thinking its just me. at least feeling a tiny bit better now knowing there are other people in the same boat , though we'd rather not be in this situation.

Hold on a minute... does that mean the 'customer services' are unable to help anyone unless its 6 months or more OR.... do the authorities have a backlog of 6 months- & would it mean it would take ages to review our applications??.. omg¬ i hope its the former :-(. Damn, this experience is making me stressed beyond words!!....(I wish I could pull my hair but I'm buzzcut... damn!)
