Hey everyone, don't worry about the 6 month thing that HAS to apply to postal applications. I was told a week and my lawyer thought 48 hours, and although both those time frames have now passed and I'm still waiting, I don't think any Premium appointments will have to wait that long at all.

It is horrifying that people can't get help before that and I plan on mentioning that in my letter of complaint.

As for the fax number, if I don't get my documents today, I would like to send a fax begging for information please share the number! I can fax from my office.

I hope I have some good news soon!!

I just had a genius idea, I called customer services at DX to see if they had something in their system on it's way to me. they were able to do this without a tracking number.

they have said there is nothing on the way to me, so now I am more panicked but I guess slightly less guesswork.

if you want to call like I did, i recommend calling the second number and asking to be put through to a human being.

good luck friends.

To add to the stress...

my appointment was on july 3rd, at noon, as many of you my documents were accepted and the biometrics taken. It was a straight forward SET(O). I have not received any call or message until now, when my lawyer just contacted me to let me know my application was part of a group that was sent to liverpool to process and help with the back log of premium service.

She has no idea of a time frame or whether my application would still be treated as a premium one.

I am panicking....

Hi Members,
I need your help, I applied for Tier 1 General Extension on 4th July at PEO Croydon. My application was submitted (system down) and I was told that I will be contacted my phone if any further information will be required. Today on 11th July i received a letter through normal post stating that i need to send the following documents or my application might be refused.
1. Accountant's letter ( Even though i did provide that)
2. Official tax documents ( i don't have this as I have appled to HMRC for self assessment but still in progress)
3. Profit & loss accounts ( i don't have this as well)

To explain I worked as a director of a limited company and drew salary and dividends from that company. I sent my personal bank statements, salary slips/ dividends and accountants letter as proof to UKBA. Please guide what to do as i don't have much time to respond before a decion is made on my application

Good news. I have received my BMC before receiving approval letter and my papers.

I don't understand how people from the 3rd and 4th are receiving before people from the 2nd!! And biometric is supposed to to take up to 10 days after papers, so clearly the post is screwed up.

I sent a very desperate fax last night so hopefully will get some news today. Can't wait for this to be over!!!!

congrats anan!

dear missgolightly
thats what i am surprising for how they are treating the applications, should be by serial number but all messed up there, cant believe such a bad service and treatment we are receiving although paid for a premium service.I will see until this week end otherwise i will drop a shameful fax to Croydon office to ask what going on ?
any pls keep on updating the latest.
I want to see somebody get any response asap from UKBA who applied on 2nd at least, to make sure that our applications and docs are with them and has not been lost or kept aside and they are working on them.
all the best.

I went to croydon PEO on 10th July 2012 and every thing went well except case worker couldn't validate my Life in UK exam.

I wrote exam on 4th July 2012.

He said we will contact in 2 days. When I have seen UKBA website about I found about test as below.
If you want to apply for settlement at a public enquiry office, your appointment must be at least 2 working days after you have passed the 'Life in the UK' test. This will allow time for the test result to be sent to us electronically. If the test result is not on our system when you attend your appointment, we will not be able to decide your application on the same day.

If your current permission to stay expires less than 2 working days after you take the test, do not use the premium service. Instead, you should post your application form to the address given on the form.

So my lawyer asked one of her agents to follow up for me at the office this week. Apparently they are not giving any information cases outstanding less than two weeks.

So that means for me until Monday, I won't have any information. I guess my fax will go unanswered and my passport will be kept hostage.

As some of you may remember, my *friend* at the home office had told me on Monday unofficially that my leave was granted, I am clinging to that for dear life and praying it is right, and that my docs turn up soon.

stay tuned...

Dear all,

I share your frustrations, like most of you in this thread, I've not receive any call or letter from Croydon Home Office at all. It's been 10 days, thus I will be contacting my local MP and will be taking this issue to BBC watchdog or Channel 4.

I think all of you should do the same and start putting pressure to them.

Will keep everyone posted on the outcome

Cheers,
Aya

I just emailed Watchdog all the details. They love to slag off Government offices and I reckon they will love to cover this story. Only took me 5 minutes to fill out a form online, can all please email as well? Would be great to get back at them with a Watchdog story!!

I've just had very bad news. My case is in Liverpool. It is still pending. They gave my friend the wrong information about it being approved.

I may go jump off a cliff.

I reckon all the cases from the 2nd are in Liverpool.

This nightmare keeps getting worse.

In that case I reckon, mine too, has been sent to Liverpool then! I applied on the 3rd! I swear to God they're incompetence! We should demand for half of the fees back.

Hang in there missgolightly!!

I made friends with one of the agents who represents clients, we got to chatting and exchanged contact info. As he is there almost every day and knows the process very well I have asked him to follow for me if possible, and he has been kind enough to do so. This is why I know.

The official agent who works with my lawfirm wasn't able to get any info at all, so my friend is clearly better at this somehow.

What is really a let down is that since Monday I thought my file was approved, but they were mistaken when they told him: such incompetence!! It's like a nightmare rollercoaster!

We just have to stay positive and remember it might feel like a month, but it's been less than two weeks. Pretty happy I didn't book any holidays in July or August, I almost did!

Hi All
I just managed to speak to someone who works in one of the departments of the Liverpool office. Although she wasn't able to help me or give me any other contact infor (she said there were no actual contact numbers or faxes for the right department-very secretive) she was totally horrified with our situation and said she might try and walk over to the department and try and help me. She took my number.

I doubt anything will come of this but if it does I will certainly share. She was EXTREMELY helpful and couldn't believe the situation and said she would be LIVID if she were me. God bless the north! They are such lovely lovely people!

I have also send complaint emails directly to the Home Office, Alerted Channel 4 News and have been trying to ring The Citizens Advise bureau all day but there is nobody available. Govenment cuts!!

Have a great weekend all!!

Hi
has anyone received an acknowledgment letter from HO? I attended Croydon PEO on 3/07 and was told they would contact me in 2 days when they would have sorted out the computer problems. Like many others, I heard nothing till yesterday when I received an acknowledgement letter from them, no documents, no passport.

Has anyone received a similar letter?
