Experiences with Umbrella Companies

Post by philwong » Thu Jul 15, 2010 5:47 pm

Hi guys,

Just reading up on some of the previous posts regarding people's experences with their application when they are with an Umbrella company structure. However what I don't see is, feedbacks or outcomes of people's applications. I am due to apply in a few months and will be much appreciated if anyone can post their experiences/tips here.

My primary concern is my income, as you guys are well awared that we are being paid with minimum wage with the bulk of the money coming in from a loan. I was wondering has anyone been contested with the amount they earn? As I am working here in the UK under HSMP, earning 1k a month seems a little unbelieveable. I am planning to apply in person as I heard is easier and usually they approve within the day.

Beside banks statements, pay slips and P60s. I will also include a letter (if they ask) from my structure stating how much I've been contracted out for. What else do you guys think I need?

Many thanks

Irrespective of who you work for or how much you earn, UKBA is only interested in seeing your economic activity in the 5 years preceding your ILR application - and the documents for these are your payslips, P60 and bank statements.

Search the forum and you'll find posts giving details about the documents people prepare and send / take along to support their ILR applications.
