Going to apply soon for ILR caught driving without any insur

Post by 1954abbas » Sun Apr 09, 2017 9:40 pm

could anyone kindly let me know: I am almost in my last 5 th year of tier 1 extension and would be applying for the ILR early next year in January 2018 along with my spouse and my two children over 18 years. Both my children were born in UK. Have operated a company successfully as a Director with excellent turnover of over 250k, recently was caught for driving without insurance by the police. It is quite recent and waiting for their action still. I am very worried that will this effect my Indefinite leave to remain application which I will be submitting in January 2018?
What shall I do? I don't know if the police will take me to the court or would settle it by asking for the fines and the points on my license. Please anyone to help me out!! Would be very grateful. Shall I disclose this in my application next year?

Do you have discretionary leave? Are you applying for ILR after six years of discretionary leave?

If no and no, then your questions seems completely unrelated to the topic of this thread!

Extension of Discretionary Leave to Remain

Post by Fbalintore » Sun Jun 25, 2017 5:45 pm

Hi all,

I applied for an extension to a DLR after 3 years. After 9 months of waiting I received my renewed Resident permit and what appeared to be a standard letter stating that I didn't qualify for a Leave to remain but has been granted DLR. Is this an extension of the 1st DLR, that is, can I apply for an Indefinite Leave to Remain in 2020? I will appreciate any info from this forum. Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys,

Is it compulsory for 2x DLR holder to do life in the Uk test before applying for indefinite leave to remain.

I will be submitting my application next month
Any idea of what and what to submit.

Please help. Most especially if you've just applied
For indefinite leave to remain after 2x DLR.

Compliments of the season.

When applying for ILR after 6 years of DLR, there is no language requirement.

If you don't mind me asking what was DLR granted for, was it for private life or family life. DLR is normally granted outside the immigration rules and normally extensions and when applying for ILR, circumstances prevailing at the time of the first grant must still be the same for further grants or for ILR.

this is my understanding of what documents maybe required.

NHS Letters
Council Tax Letters
Utility bills / Correspondences (gas, electricity, landline)
Any local council or government letters / correspondences (award letters etc)
Credit Card statements (not online)
Bank statements (not online)
Letters of support
Employer Letters
Wage Slips
Covering letters ( for example, Covering letter for why you are applying for ILR)

Proof of joint address should cover the full qualifying period in the form of 6 pieces of correspondence/bills etc if in joint names or 12 examples if in single names (6 each). These should be from at least 3 difference sources and spread as evenly as possible throughout the 3 year period. 1 (or 2 if in singles names) every 4-5 months is a general guideline.

All documents should be originals and not be printed online ones as they wont be accepted. Also, when showing wage slips (if it applies to you) make sure bank statements are also corresponding with it.

hope this helps...

Hallo,

Blessed you.

The Dlr was for private LIFE. Outside immigration rules. First Dlr issued. 2011.

And , if I may ask you another questions.

What's the home office fee.

And likely how many month/weeks for the processing, just an idea. Should you know.

Please tell me. Lastly the above started documents

Are ready to be submitted. Any additional info.

Thanks again. Merry Christmas

Hi,

At the moment the fees are for indefinite-leave-to-remain application £2297, if you are using SET(O) form to apply, then you may use the PSC service which is a one day service centre and if your case is not complicated you can get a same day decision.

That would be another £490 on top of the ILR fee and you can book online and pay online, remember though, if going for the PSC service you can book upto 42 days in advance BUT make sure you book within 28 days of qualifying period of 6 years of DL.

Again the PSC decision is all dependant on evidence and how complicated your case/immigration history is not something anyone can tell you.

It varies in afraid.

Yes, remember to complete form SET(O). If anything comes to mind I will post it here. Good luck and please let us know of your outcome whenever you apply.

I would also mention in regards to the fee's that they increase every year in April, bear that in mind if applying after that month, always use the latest form and the correct fee at the time when making an application for leave to remain as it will be returned invalid (giving you a 14 day grace period) to re-apply using the up to date form and fee.

Link to form: 30 October 2017

Hi ,
DL visa 6 years route (3+3) ((out of immigration rule ,followed by asylum refusal)) you can apply ILR , after 6 years from the first visa issued.

I applied 2 days ago in Croydon premium service ,same day service , my application was successful and Granted ILR after 2 hours ,

You need to make a SET O form not DL form , otherwise not accepted by premium service , if you apply through the post you should make a DL form .ilr Fee is £2297
Premium service :£590

Was it for the full 3 year period or like 6 months of documentation?
