Dear Forum Members,

I have applied for ILR application on 16th Feb 2019 and still awaiting decision from home office. I had my son recently and would like to know if I am eligible to apply for child benefit?

Sorry if this question sound weird it’s just that I was advised by my friend that now I can applying. However, I do not want to jeopardise my visa application.

Appreciate some advice from GURU's please.

Thanks
Soni
I would suggest you to wait. Its only a matter of couple of months. You are protected by section 3c till your visa comes so you are still under your Tier 1 rules. Public funds is not a good idea till you have your ILR.

Congratulations on the baby.

Can you please tell me if you have received any monthly automated email from HO after 1 month?

Thanks

I didn't receive any such email. I applied on 13th February, I receive one email on that day but nothing since then. I can still login to Sopra site and it still allows me to upload documents. I am worried if all documents have been sent to home office or not yet.
Can't believe sopra didnt setup one email confirmation after document submission.

That is normal. Sopra account remains active. But your docs are sent to HO after verification. I have not received any automated email myself. I applied on Jan 2nd. Many receive, some dont like me and you. Nothing to worry.

Hello everyone...

It's been 5 months still waiting for my ILR Entrepreneur visa decision. Do you know if I will get email decision or via post?

I applied in Feb...did anyone get their visa decision?

Appreciate your response.

Thanks

The timeline seems to be around 6 months. Some members have received their decision under 6 months recently. You will hear soon hopefully. You should wait for official correspondence via post.

Thanks for your response. I didn't receive email notification of pending decision this month. Not sure if decision had been made.

There is no relation with the automated emails and decision. It is just a system error sometimes the automated emails are not pushed through. I did not receive any automated emails and I got my decision in the post.

You can check “your right to work”. Once the status is changed your visa will be processed. This is one way to check.

Hope you get your successful decision soon.

Follow the link. Once your ILR is approved, the status changes to no limit to stay in UK and no work restrictions. It works for many.

Dear Immigration Board Members,

I would like to initially thank everyone who has helped me in this journey from Entrepreneur visa to ILR. I have recived my decision and has been grated ILR.

I have a question regarding registering my son as a british citizen. He was born in Jan 2019 so I have to get his british passport and OCI card.

Appreciate your response and help.

Thanks
Soni

You will have to register your son as British Citizen via MN1 form. I am assuming he is UK born. Once the application is approved, only then you will be able to apply for a British Passport.
You better start a new topic in the British Citizenship sub-forum for further advice.
