ILR Approved @ Croydon PEO 11/03/2014 as Director of Ltd Co

Post by vagabond4life » Tue Mar 11, 2014 11:38 am

Hi Guys

I have just received my ILR @ Croydon PEO as Director of Ltd Co on Tier 1 Gen (3+2). plus 1 dependant. My previous renewal was also as Director.

Just want to share my experience of getting ILR.

My appointment was at 8.30 a.m. Arrived at 8.10 a. Passed through security. Nobody checked appointment letter. Followed signs towards 3rd floor.

Registration and documents submission took 15 min. Biometrics took another 10 mins and documents forwarded to case worker at 8.45

Then started a two hour anxious waiting period. At 10.45 name appeared on screen to collect documents. Went to counter and was told ILR approved. The letter provided after approval is bit confusing though.

Other people had their approvals within an hour which I assume were Salaried employees.

I had provided documents as per my post before application.

For Cohabitation, I just submitted following proofs:
1. Electoral Registration letter confirming address for 3 years
2. Rent agreements
3. Annual council tax statements
4. Thames Water bills

Note that proofs for point 2 to 4 are only annual statements. Letter for point 1 was requested last month. I have read in threads here that there has to be letters dated every three months which was not in my case.

Happy to answer any quesations.

Thanks

first of all congratulations. If you dont mind me asking, what is the confusion in the ILR approval letter? Just asking as I have an appointment next week and would be good to know about it. I have an application for my UK born son pending the (hopefully successful) result of this appointment so would be good to know what the letter states.

Thanks
Regards,
KM

The heading says 'This does not convey the grant of ILR' and the first line in paragraph says your application has been approved. You will be sent a BRP as confirmation of your ILR. I guess it means that this letter cannot be used as proof of BRp as there is no name printed on it.

A separate letter is issued saying BRP will be sent shortly.
