Start date of qualifying period (Tier 2/ Set O)

Post by mbxwes2018 » Fri Sep 23, 2022 5:21 pm

Hi, I have read many posts on the forum but I'm seeing different answers on different posts so I decide to post my own and hope the moderator can kindly help me with my query.

initial Tier 2 visa application successful letter: 10 January 2018
BRP issue date: 01 February 2018
entry clearance vignette validity: 20 February - 19 March 2018
first entry date to the UK: 01 March 2018

I'm planning to apply 28 days before completing the 5 year qualifying period, here comes the question:

Does the visa application successful letter count as the visa approval letter which I can use the date on the letter as the start of my qualifying period? If not, which one I should use as the start of my qualifying period?

Thanks in advance!

In fact, there are not many different answers to this. This question is being asked almost daily and the answer has always been the same. Use the earliest date of visa approval or issue date

ILR Set(O) Documents - Consent Form and Mandatory Documents

Post by mbxwes2018 » Fri Jan 27, 2023 12:12 pm

Hello,

I have recently submitted the ILR Set(O) applications for me and my partner. Upon checking the Document Checklist, I have the following questions:

1. It only asks the main applicant to complete the consent form, which I have completed. It didn't ask the dependent partner to sign the form, should I include it anyways or just upload what was asked on the checklist?

2. The document checklist didn't ask for cohabitation evidences, in the past when renewing our Tier 2 visas, we did provide our council tax bills and the joint lease etc as proofs. Should I included them in Other upload section or again, just provide only what's asked on the Document Checklist to make it simple and clear?

Thanks so much in advance!

1. Consent forms needs for both
2. Cohabitation evidence needed for partner

Thanks Zimba for the answers!

As for the consent forms, do you mean just the main applicant sign part 1 and the partner sign part 2 and the same signed Part 1 and Part 2 consent forms can be used for both? Or the main applicant and the partner need to sign their own version of part 1 and part 2 respectively?

You help is greatly appreciated.

Each applicant needs their own consent form
