Hi.. please don't mind.. could you please tell me that I did not have any nonmolestation order or injunction because police directly send me to a refuge from my work and told me change the sim.later when I asked her about nonmolestation order she said you are safe now.so you don't need any nonmolestation order.I got 3 months visa and its been 5 months since I applied for ILR.Do you think If I had the non molestation order then it's would be more helpful?

Hi Roja, and congratulations on receiving the ILR, though I know how painful this whole thing has been and especially it seems the waiting to find out must have been difficult.

I too am looking to apply for ILR due to domestic abuse. Did you have a solicitor through legal aid? I have spoken with someone willing to take on my case, but even if it costs a little I cant afford it.

the other question----- was there any way the ex partner of yours found out about this or was it completely discreet? I really do not want him to find out as you can imagine. I do not have any police cases, but I do have other forms of evidence especially medical...and from the woman's aide group, GP, counsellors, social services hopefully

Wish me luck...please stand strong everyone out there who has gone through this completely isolating and heartbreaking situation.

thank you for updating us with your acceptance information.

I got seperated form my husband last year. Submit my case this year in january and got my ilr in exactly 2 months. I haven't had any strong evidence just go report and police report which was all cut out they mentioned just one line in whole report that's it. I never shared this to anyone only once to gp and I also submitted some screenshots of my conversation with Husband. That's all.

Hope this will help.

:o thank you for sharing your experience wish really I found it very helpful, but I want to ask you a couple of questions if you don't mind,
1-- when you applied was you in a domestic violence centre in another word do you have to be in a domestic violence centre or even if you are living with a friend you can apply and they don't consider it as something against my case.
2-- did you do it through a solicitor or by yourself.

Hi
I was living separately with my relatives after domestic violence happened . You can apply if you live with friends or relatives.
I applied through solicitor with the help of legal aid means I didn't pay anything . Not a case or solicitor fee .
Sorry for my bad english โ˜น
If you want to ask anything I'll be happy to help you.
Thanks

2-- and it was psychologically and controlling behaviours not physically do you think it will work ?

Thanks in advance

Hi
Its been one and a half year now but when I applied I was in the uk only for 8 months .
Yes it will work. As I had only gp and police report like you nothing else and police report wasn't that helpful but still it counts so I think you will be okay.plus I have a child I don't know if it makes your case strong . But all they want is evidence I think you have enough evidence. Wish you best luck. I hope everything goes well for you .
Thanks.

Thank you so much, and I hope everything goes well with you too but regarding your reports you said that the incident happened last year and you applied this year, we're your reports up to date or did they go by last year report ?
Thank you

Hi
The incident happened in between or end of last year . First I applied for ddv concession which is three month visa so it allows you to apply for benefits if you have no where to go it basically helps you financially of course. And within those three months you have to apply for dv ilr. As it take time to gather evidence and submit case. And then it took 2 months to get my ilr.

Hi there !
My solicitor gathered all the evidence. She did everything fro me .she wrote letter to police and gp to ask them for report. And I also moved to another place really far from my partner. You have nothing to do if you have solicitor its their job. Still you want to ask anything you are welcome.
I got my reply within one month for dv concession.
Thanks
