ILR Expiry

I have received my ILR BRP today but it expires on 31/12/2024. I heard that ILR BRP is usually valid for 10 years but don’t know why my one is 5 years. Any explanation is highly appreciated.

ILR status does not expire. That is the date that all identity cards in the EU have to be updated.
