ILR - leave absenses, entry stamp missing on passport

Post by Neil13488 » Sun Feb 05, 2023 11:44 am

Hey Guys,

I am on a PBS skilled worker route completing 5 years soon and will be applying for ILR.

We recently travelled back to UK in Jan from holiday .On arrival at Gatwick Airport the immigration Officer checked our Passports and BRP but he did not stamped our passports.
We did ask him why he didnt stamp and he said that the visa's are digitised so not needed.

To verify if our entry was digitised we had requested SAR from Home Office and we noticed that our re-entry back to UK is missing in SAR as well.

I will be applying for ILR in few months and was worried if this missing stamp and entry in SAR will cause any issue when i declare my absenses.

I have the boarding passes as a proof of travel with me .

If someone could help me with -

1) If this will be an issue while declaring absenses in ILR

2) Can this entry in SAR be corrected by reaching out to Home Office and providing proof of travel.

Thanks in advance !!!

The UKVI is digitising the border and immigration procedures. If the officer deemed that a stamp is not required anymore, then it is perfectly fine. The SAR report may not show the details of this in your file as the information from the new system may not be included. You are overthinking this for no reason

Thanks in advance !!!

Thanks a lot for your responses, I also came across a case worker guidance which states that if there are discrepancies the case worker can ask applicant for additional proofs like boarding pass / e-tickets or bank account details to prove.

All the entry data is on the border system. You do not need to do anything.

This recently happened to me, so if you could find the contact details of the Home Office department to contact or could resolve this, could you please share your experience?

I think it's very clear in the previous comments that this is not an issue. I have myself a couple of missing stamps on my passport and I didn't have any problem during my immigration applications.

The travel details of everyone are recorded digitally. You don't need to contact anybody.

Whether stamp on your passport or not, HO has got the records.
