Hi Unique,

What is SAR and how do you find out with this method? Can you please help me as I would also like to find update for myself.

Regards,
Ashish
Hi, Its a subject access request which would show your complete record held with home office from start of journey till now. It will cost you £10 and will take around 40 days for report to be with you. Please find attached link for SAR application (https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... mmigration).
Kind Regards,

Hi,
Thank you for your reply, i have requested same in the month of April 2018 asking copy of my application and current application status and on the last page it did not ask me for any payment. I am still waiting for their reply on my request whereas they said 20 days to reply and it is almost 3 months now.
Thanks,
Ashish

Hi,

I have finally received reply for SAR but they have just posted me all photocopy of what i submitted to them that is also after 3 months. I have not received any update on my case whereas my understanding of SAR is i should get some case update. Can you please guide me what should i do now. My MP has already wrote HO before 2 weeks.

Thanks,
Ashish

So I applied on the 24th of January (premium) - 27th July was 6 months. When I made a phone enquiry on the 30th of July, I was emailed the next day saying I am still within the service standard of 6 months.
Has anybody faced this before?! Are they counting from when additional checks were made? I am confused!

Not sure, but my assumption is if it is only working days that are considered then you are looking somewhere around first week of October.

And I think additional checks fall under the 6 month period.

Hi,

I applied for ILR using premium service and called HO after 6 months completed and received reply from them below, don't know what to say.

Thank you for contacting UKVI Contact Centre.

Our records show your application has not yet been completed.

We are unable to advise when a decision will be made but you will be notified in writing once made. Until such time, we are unable to assist further. Should the caseworker require further information and/or documents they will contact you.

We are sorry we cannot be of further assistance at this time.

I have waited 6 months, contacted them twice and not heard back from contacting them twice!
Can I ask when your current visa ends? Because mine isn't until December, I think they are taking their time!

Hi,
My current BRP already expired in March, 2018 but when they have your application your visa is still valid. Have you applied for premium service?

Oh sorry to hear - can you continue working then?
Yes I did and then was told that they have to do further checks. The compliance officer visited on 14th March. When I contacted them after 6 months they said their records showed that I am still within the service standard - so I wonder if they are counting from when the compliance officer filed his report?
What's your situation?

Hi,

You can continue with work till the time they are processing your visa. I have applied for ILR on same day using premium service and now 6 months completed and there is no communication from them and I am still waiting.

Thanks to the ALMIGHTY ALLAH..... i have finally got my VISA.
My struggle to get ILR ends today

Heres my timeline

8th June 2018 - PEO PREMIUM CROYDON
8th june 2018 - Case Deferred required further enquiries
11th June 2018 - Home Office surprise visit to check docs and told the HR they will visit again on 15th June for full audit

15th June - Full Audit
5th July - Audit successful - A rating (SME+) Maintained.

Numerous Emails to the MP from End of june till now, Mp supported fully and respond to my emails within 24 hours.

14 August - Biometric card received to the Solicitor.... However i did not receive my docs yet.

Thanks to this forum, helped me alot throughout my tough time.

Thanks mate, However its quite strange receiving BRP first and not docs..... Normally i have seen people receive their docs first then the bRP.

What should i do in this case ? Whether to contact them or to Wait....

Also i have informed my Employer about this good news, should they remove my name from Tier 2 list now and inform HO or wait till i get all my docs back ?

Usually with postal applications, you first receive the docs along with the approval letter stating that the BRP will be sent in a week's time. - This was the case with my student, PSW and initial Tier 2 postal applications.

Tier 2 extension was Premium so got the docs and approval letter same day and BRP a week later as usual.

Not sure how ILRs are processed even though the procedure is similar. I assume they must be on its way to you depending on which centre they are being sent from.

To my knowledge, I think most verifications are done in Sheffield centre and maybe they have been going back and forth to Sheff and Croydon. It is just my assumption.

Dear Respected gurus
I recently applied for ILR under long residency
I am currently on Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa which is valid till Feb 2019
I went to Cardiff PSC on 15 Aug 2018 and documents being held for further checks
what could be the possible reasons and processing time?
also what should I expect from HO following this? any compliance visit, interview, documents check etc.?

Hi Bcilr

Congrats on securing your Ilr. You mentioned you went to Sheffield. Can you share your experience for Sheffield peo as we do have an appointment next month. Did they asked for P60 for all years. How was the staff. Your feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi manpreet111

I have not got my ILR yet.

However it was my second prem appointment at Sheffield. There has been no change in treatment both times. You wont have much interaction going on after the initial submission apart from any disruptions in systems. My second appt was a bit delayed as they had some IT issues and their systems had to be rebooted and stuff. We were told to go out and come back in some time for coffee, lunch etc and they will call us or they said to even leave and will send result by post. We could leave only after giving the biometrics though. I chose to stay but I was out in about 3.5 hours on whole. Usual prem appt lasts for 2.5hours.

1. Security check and you will be guided to the registration desk. It is quite a small centre.

2. Registration desk - hand in all docs that they ask for first. And they will ask in the end if you want to hand in any more supporting docs - at this point, it is up to you what docs you want to submit to make your case stronger and help in speedy process of your application. You can give bucket loads or just whats relevant, you will get them back anyway.

They have not asked for any P60s to me at the time of appointment as they were satisfied with what was submitted as part of the documents checklist online.

However just submit the P60s as well because during their compliance visit they have asked for it.
Also, though just 1 month's payslip is enough, just submit previous months too.

3. Approx an hour later your token no will be called for biometrics.

4. Your token will be called again by the actual caseworker approx an hour later or so (depends) and will be given the result.

Hi all, so pleased to have FINALLY got my ILR guys.
A reminder of my timeline - 24 Jan 2018 PEO Croydon, delayed for further checks.
14th March - compliance check and interview at my workplace.
21 August - received documents back.
After the 6 months mark on the 24th of July, I called the helpline so many times with no response!
Finally, it occurred to me to contact the Compliance officer who came around and as we got on quite well.
I think he prodded the HO for me, as a week later voila documents returned :)

Goodluck to everybody waiting.
Much love x

Sorry to hear that. Did they say why your case is deferred since you are applying under LR route?

Hi All,

This group is absolutely quiet since sometime as i understand ILR route is closed from April 2018 for Tier - 1 General applicants. I assume there are people waiting for ILR same as me as i am waiting for my ILR since last 7 months. If anyone has got anything to share then please do as it creates support for all.

Thanks,
Ashish

Mine arrived in 7 months after being deferred.
What helped me might help you, so here...
I had a compliance officer visit two months after my PEO. After 6.5 months of waiting, my HR manager contacted him for an update. Although he only handles the sponsors, he was kind enough to follow up in Sheffield. A week later, I had my documents back & the BRP the next day.
