ILR SET (O) -JR

Sent on 19th Sept
Letter received on 21st Sept
ILR stamped 30th Oct
Documents received 3rd Nov

So all together 5 weeks and 4 days!

Good Luck everyone. Perhaps the postal strike is on our side as people are not sending in postal applications because they are scared their stuff will get lost. This seems to have sped up the process!

Forgot to say that letter was included back dating ILR to March 09 when I applied for my extension. I was also informed that I will be receiving the fee back for the extension which was £750

Have tracked all people who applied for ILR basis HSMP JR from this thread and have collated thier timelines.

Name Type Applied ILR date Weeks
Pahini HSMP JR 13-Aug 22-Sep 5.7
Sapra HSMP JR 14-Aug 09-Oct 8.0
MrBaboo HSMP JR 14-Aug 17-Oct 9.1
mmk385 HSMP JR 17-Aug 09-Oct 7.6
rafcrown HSMP JR 17-Aug 12-Oct 8.0
Krazydude HSMP JR 17-Aug 16-Oct 8.6
rajgoreja HSMP JR 21-Aug 23-Oct 9.0
Sridhar HSMP JR 25-Aug 28-Oct 9.1
Free71 HSMP JR 27-Aug 28-Oct 8.9

riss10 HSMP JR 16-Sep 25-Oct 5.6
Maclesuya HSMP JR 19-Sep 03-Nov 6.4

The average waiting time basis these 13 cases is 7.8 weeks.

Does anybody have an idea of the average waiting time for ILR application basis Work Permit - is that the same as HSMP JR or is it longer - if so what is the current timelines.

Would like all senior members, experts to post their knowledge please

I was eligable for ILR in Feb 09 but only applied in September as we have had travel commitments earlier in the year. My ILR was approved last week. Based on this comment and few other comments I've seen on this thread was I eligable to have my ILR backdated from Feb 09? I never realised this was possible.

My Ancestry Visa was stamped in December 03, I arrived Feb 04, then we just renewed the Ancestry Visa for another 4 years when it expired.

Thanks for your advice - although I imagine it's too late anyway!

ILR - HSMP JR

Application Sent 26/09/09
Application recieved 28/09/09
Money deducted: 02/10/09
Ack recieved: 03/10/09

waiting...

"Sorry we missed you" card by royal mail : 05/11/2009
got the package : 06/11/2009

ILR stamped on : 02/11/09 ... exactly a month after money was deducted.

I think the turn around times have decreased, or may be I was just lucky..
I am with the same company for 4 years, and probably that helped.

Documents sent:
Application Form.SET(o)
passport me + 2 dependents.
6 months bank statement
6 months salary slip.
4 years p60.
Mortgage letters.
some email printouts to support my business trips.

Thanks and all the best to others.

That Letter is as Depressing as it gets!!!! Are u serious??? So those of us applying the 10yr route *Lawfully might I Add* get punished and made to wait the whole 6 months with no feedback??? That is just so unfair! It truely is!

Less that 63% processed with 4months, Not promising at all! I guess I should just noth bother Till Feb 2010 If i am to go by that response

oluwa112, I know how you feel... I simply typed "10 years long residence process time" in Google and found the email. It doesn't look fake to me. I have a friend who made her application based on 2yrs spouse Visa - and the processing time was more than 12 months.

@ haha... I know that site and its a legit site. People publish the letters they get from the home office on it.
I actually do the same thing for 10yr waiting time cos there doesn't seem to be that many
Of us here on this site and the ones here in the forum are still waiting to hear back.

But I haven't run a search since last week. And the date on that letter Nov 2 means it was also just
Recently uploaded.

I will try to remain positive though, cos really and truely the situation is out of our hand now, we are @ the mercy
Of the British Immigration services and have to follow protocol for that little bit longer.

ILR Granted !!

Post by dilipsrini » Sat Nov 07, 2009 9:36 am

Hi Everyone
We got our passports bac from HO yesterday. Our time line is as follows.
ILR applied 5 yr Work Permit basis - 7/09/09
Ack received - 10/09/09
ILR stamped on passport - 04/11
Pasport received - 06/11/09

We actually got a letter from my employer that i have to go on a urgent business trip and we faxed that to the home office. That has definitely made a difference of at least 2 to 3 weeks!

Waiting for the ILR can be so harrowing and nerve wracking - we were on pins for 8 weeks - especially because i had a new job offer and needed the ILR to join the new company.

Wish every one succcess in their journey to ILR - just have the faith - and believe that it will come through !

All the best everyone and God bless !
