@uyi.controller
This is very unfortunate, my application is under process now 15 weeks, I am still working for my current employer, my family can visit GP there is no issue. You may need to speak to an immigration lawyer, what they are doing with you is against the immigration law.
Looking at processing timeline there don't seems to be a trend.
Good luck and all the best.

I am sorry to hear your situation but somewhat doubt the truth. How did GP got to know that your visa had expired? GPs have duty to look after their patients. They cannot just kick you out. ideally they issue a warning notice for 28 days and they have legal obligation to look after you during that time. If this has truth you have a strong case for putting a formal complaint to the GP Practice (through practice manager) or PCT and even start a legal battle against the practice.

However, if you have made this up and you have mentioned this in writing you are risking to be caught by UKBA for fraud and dishonesty.

I was very surprised when l got a letter from the GP medical centre after my visa expired Aug 25th. I taught it was a joke, only for my wife to call this morning to hear the news. I do not know anything about the 28 days you mentioned, but even then Aug 25th till today is far more than 28 days.

It appears GP Practice operates differently. Where l lived before l moved to current residence, the GP Practice did not even ask for my passport let alone know when it will expire.

Believe it, some GP practise are more organised than others. Why would anyone want to make up stories like this ?

Apologies if I have offended but this a ridiculous excuse.

In that case if I were you I would write a letter of complaint to your local PCT with all the relevant documents including letter from UKBA and print out from website as a matter of urgency.

I meant notice of 28 days saying you will no longer be registered from eg 21st Dec, if it was letter dated today so that you can sort your health care out in that time.

l am going there tomorrow, l have just learnt that somethings in life are better sorted out in person, just like applying for my visa in person would have saved me all these troubles.

Sorry I did not get the ridiculous excuse part.

Are you are saying that this is a ridiculous excuse for home office to expedite the application process ? or are you saying that the expired visa is a ridiculous excuse for the GP to remove my name from his register ?

ridiculous excuse to kick you out of the GP practice.

But take with you a letter of complaint with you with all supporting documents. Unfortunately, if you make it only verbal you will not be taken seriously.

Its quite a coincidence that three of us applied on the same day...so it will be interesting to keep track of how our applications are progressing.

I have sent a expedite request as I have to travel in early Dec and attached all the supporting documents. Have sent an email as well. Just hope that someone responds.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I did not pay any attention to the difference in timings for the different categories. I am applying for Set (O) and at 11 weeks now, so I guess I have a way to go before I can start really looking forward to the postman! :(
