4th April Refusal (income not genuine)
10th April AR filed
9th May - received email stating there is delay in my AR as they made some enquiries so waiting for the outcome of those enquiries will update me by 22nd May with the decision or if there is any further delay

No I have not received any questionnaires only face to face interview call. I was on Tier 1 general to ILR and I did 2010-2011, 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 amendments, paid all tax and this year tax is already under set DD Plan. My 75% employment and 25% was my sole trader business. let see how it will go. God bless us. I know everything about my business as it was 100% genuine and real. Nothing has been made up.
Have your accountants letter ready when you attend the interview coz they ll ask you the reason for amendmends and Good luck
Hi COBRA39,
Do you think UKBA accept accountant letters?
Hi I think they should as couple of my friends presented it in court during their JR and court accepted it.

I recieved the questionnaire too, you reckon they are trying to verify if the answers matches what is in the application?
Hi
I think what they are doing is that when they dont find any reason to refuse your ILR they are sending these questions to trap you to get something outa you to refuse your ILR.

HI cOBRA,
We have submitted our questionnaire too and have been waiting. Would really appreciate more details. How long did it take to receive ILR after submitting the questionnaire.
Thankyou.

Is there nothing we can do about the delay? It's been a year almost since the application. I know people have been waiting for 15 months. So frustrating!! Even MPs letter didn't work.

Hello Guys

After all these frantic days, finally my ILR application got success today received BRP by post.

My timelines for my application Tier 1 General ( self employed, company director, no amendments).

Date Posted: 15/07/2016
Payment taken: 18/07/2016
Biometrics submitted: 20/08/2016
HO questionnaire received: 31/03/2017
Answers sent to HO: 6/04/2017
Again I have sent some documents on : 22/04/2017
BRP Permit: 11/05/2017

I just thought to give the case worker more details, so i have decided myself and sent those documents by post, Basically I have sent all contract emails, company documents, all 5 years invoices(~200 pages), p60, mainly SA302 and Company Tax returns.

meanwhile my wife was also approved along with my application. her visa was about to expire on april14th 2017 , for which I made online application on mid march and then sent post later.

Its all been frustrating these days waiting for the decision, but this forum really helped me to keep patience a bit.

Anyway many thanks to everyone, I wish you all good luck, hopefully you all hear success.

Yes it was all about self employment and my job. They were ON and ON about 45 mins the same question in different ways. Like
have I submitted tax return every year since 2010?
Who submitted ?
Accountant information?
Did I checked the tax return before I submitted?
last question was about have I amended any tax return and why? I was very nervous throughout the process. It was very hard and tough time for me.

I gave answer in details. They gave me letter at the end and said They need time to enquiry further they cannot make decision quickly because my application is really complex. Also they have written in the letter that I cannot make enquiries, phone to them to chase my case like I did before send a letter using my MP. They strictly said just wait. It was annoyed me too much but what we can do. We are at the mercy of HO. Allah kareem will help us, nothing was positive actually. Only Allah Kareem can change their mind and Inshallah something will turn positive. I am hoping.

I have applied for ILR in Sept 16 on the basis of Tier1 General 5 year route, salary earned from employment + self employment. My husband got his British citizenship in Oct16, we thought to wait for my ILR but now after 7 months of waiting we received a questionnaire from Homeoffice regarding self employment and requesting more documents etc .

As per discussions on the board, some of the applicants have been waiting from 12-18 months or even more.

I need to find out if it is possible to switch my application to spouse visa as it takes only 2-3 months or less to get the visa. I can not wait for another 6-9month for Tier 1 application to be processed as it is affecting my job.

Please suggest, your HELP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED !

HO staff knew you have applied for Tier 1 so they will hold your application and check Tier 1 elements before grant you even another category visa. They are very clever. They will take your time anyway.
Also your 5 years will start from 0 day. Just keep in mind everything before change switching.

Hi gag 12!
In my opinion you should wait for the outcome of your case, its a lengthy process and we can not do anything about it. I have been waiting for my decision for nearly 16 months. You never know what the outcome will be. If its just the matter of job then dont switch your visa coz your employer can do ECS check on you and can get 6 months right of work. As long as your decision is pending there would not be any problem with right of work.

Hi,

I received a response for my complaint to the UKBA stating that, ''they are a number of checks that must be completed before a decision can be reached, including some with authorities outside UKVI & these can take some time to complete''.

This is really ridiculous, the way they slide away from everything. My interview was held on the 10th of November & my application was posted on the 04th of February 2016, 15 months now & they are saying that they are still doing checks  MP letter really didn't help I guess, as no response was received for that.

This wait is too much. I guess no one has received a response after interview?

Thanks
