was sending premium upgrade emails 4 times a week at 8:00 for 2 months from middle of September without any result.
Seems I have complicated case, a lot of business trips and 4 months unpaid leave in 2014 related with the death of close relative.

This is such a massively frustrating process. I wrote to my local MP last week and all I got was a generic response that 'a case worker' confirmed that my application was still being considered and because the general guidelines mention a 6 month processing time, that February 2019 is when I could possibly receive a decision.

Much relieved now, i have sent complaint email to complaints@homeoffice@gsi.gov.uk but the response i got wasn't helpful at all. spoke to my MP to chase it up for me on 12 december 2018 and today i got the approval but MP didnt send it yet as they are dealing with queries from 4 december at this point in time and i was told that it will be sent to Home Office before christmas, but got approval before then. so told MP not to send it now.

I am applying with two dependents needing second extension, we enrolled the biometrics at the same time. My solicitor helped us sent out the applications. My case is straight forward as well the only reason we involved the solicitor is that we needed it to be more secure . It is nice to feel not alone here. Hope we all get good results soon.
