No, didn't receive any type of confirmation letter from the HO. The only communication was in regards to the Biometrics. Rather ticks me off that you pay so much money and receive such poor service. In the private world you would be out of business before you knew it. Anyway, I'll drop a note if anything happens.....

Cheers

Hello there,
I applied on 27 March,2018 and biometrics were done in first week of May but didn’t hear anything after that.
I was expecting my ILR by Christmas but it didn’t happen and then I assure that I’ll get in January this year and again nothing heard from them.
I know these cases take longer than normal cases(6 months frame) but I think it’s too much wait for me as I’m about to complete a year for my ILR approval/application outcome.
Could you please suggest that what course of action should I take now as if I write letter to them,I will get a copy paste reply, nothing else.
I’m looking for a new job and planning some holidays overseas, but I don’t have passport to do so and it’s not possible to convince the employer to offer me a job without passport/biometric visa.
Any updates on your visa? Still waiting or got a relpy?
Hi Guys,

Can someone update this topic please.

Can you share your successful timeline as to when did you submit your application and when you received the result?

Thank you in advance.
Sorry for the late reply as I just got the chance to see your question.
Nope, I’m still waiting for the outcome, though I wrote them couple of times.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

When did you submit your application as if it's more than 6 months from the time you submit your application, you can call the Home Office to ask for updates with your application.

Please share your timeline for those people who had received the outcome of their application and for those who are still waiting, kindly update us or share your timeline here.

Thank you in advance.

Hello,
It’s over 15 months since I’ve applied and done biometrics.I called and wrote them few times but they have same copy paste reply for all cases.
Following is my time line:

Applied by post: 27 March,2018
Biometrics+confirmation letter: 12 April,2018
Biometrics done: 15 April,2018

As you can see that I’m about to complete 15 months even after doing my biometrics, but I’m still waiting for the outcome of my application.I’ve tried my best to contact UKVI,but I get the same reply every time that my application is in process and they can’t give any exact date when it will be decided.
This simply means that I can’t travel and I can’t apply for any job as every employer wants to see the passport first and when they come to know that I don’t have any passport, they even bother to consider my job application.
I don’t know what to do,but I strongly feel that UKVI has some instructions to keep on hold these sort of applications till exit from EU and then refuse all the applications.

What route to ilr have you applied for?? Your previous topic says it is FLR DL??

indefinite-leave-to-remain/flr-dl-engli ... l#p1611496

This topic is not for flr DL ILR applications.

I apologise if I’m confused with DV application.
Basically,I applied for asylum on basis of domestic violence(DV) which was eventually refused and I was granted discretionary leave following a failed asylum application in 2012.
I successfully extended my discretionary leave for another 3 years in 2015.I got this extension within 5 months and nothing has changed since.I’m not sure why they are taking so long to decide my application?
Any advice?

Many thanks.

Ok, this topic is not appropriate for your FLR DL as it not an application based on domestic violence on form SET DV. FLR DL is a different set of rules and requirements.

You should either continue in your existing topic or start a newer one.

I have submitted my set dv application on 15/04/19 and submitted biometrics a week later.
As i am destitute i had to rely on benefits to provide a home and food for myself and my 2 children. A week after submitting my application my universal credit was stopped, i had to do a habitual residency test, then the HMRC decided to contact home office to establish if i am allowed to receive benefits. The home office replied to HMRC telling them that they have granted me leave to remain and i am allowed to receive benefits. That made me think that my set dv application has been processed but i haven't heard anything from home office yet. It is so stressful to wait because i need to get a job

Hi,

I just want to know what do you mean by they have granted your application leave to remain, did you apply for DDV first or ILR set DV and how did you know that they have granted your application? When did you know?

I have emailed the home office if I am allowed to work and they have sent a confirmation to my employer that I am allowed to work. Does it mean that they have processed my application already?
I have submitted mine on 25/04/19 and until now no updates yet.

Please let me know yours.

Thanks.

All what i got was a letter from HMRC saying that the home office have confirmed that i am habitually resident in the UK and my universal credit payments should continue because they have granted me indefinite leave to remain. This has confused me because its been 3 months since that letter and still haven't heard from home office.
And yes i have applied for DDV concession first then SET DV

Thanks for your reply.

That's quite weird as how come the HMRC confirmed your application for ILR but the Home Office has not confirmed it yet.

When did you receive the letter from HMRC,
What do you mean by habitual residency
When did you apply for DDV? And how long did you wait for their response?
Did you apply for ILR straight after receiving DDV?
When are you applying for citizenship or naturalisation if ever you have the positive result of your ILR set DV application? Is it after a year?

Sorry if I have so many questions.

Hope it will be over soon. Please let me know when you receive your application result.

Thanks again.

I have applied for ddv on 10th January 2019 straight after i was attacked by my ex husband and decided to separate. It took me a couple of months to gather all the evidence needed (medical records, police report, court order, MARAC letter) then i applied for set dv on 15/04/2019.
After applying for ddv concession i had access to benefits for 3 months. After the 3 months period my benefits automatically stopped n i was called for a habitual residency test at job center (its just an interview where they ask for id n proof of address n right to reside in the uk) then HMRC decided to write to the home office to confirm if i still have the right to claim benefits n home office informed them that i have the right to access benefits because i was granted leave to remain.
I am not sure to when i should apply for citizenship but i have heard it should be a year after getting ILR.

Good afternoon,

Just to help people out....I have finally received notice that my ILR(DV) visa has been granted. I used an Immigration solicitor in my submittal, had fairly good evidence, own a business employing 14 people full time, North American, parent to a British minor, etc. and still it took approximately 3 months and 3 weeks to get approval.

After the first two weeks of waiting, there was a request to deal with the biometrics. After that there was no communication at all until last week when there was some more information regarding the abuse organizations that I had been in contact with.

Very grateful that I used an immigration solicitor to help with all of this. Have had to deal with the Home Office many times over the last 7 years and without a good solicitor, you are a sitting duck.

Now, I have to think carefully about my next steps. Worrying about getting kicked out of the country has now been somewhat taken off the table.

Congratulations! Really happy that u have received a response
I have submitted a really good evidence as well, police reports with pictures of me after the attack. Police report from a previous incident that happened a couple of years ago. Support letters from indeavour and marac. A letter of my ex's conviction he pleaded guilty to the charges and he was handed a 24 weeks suspended sentence for 2 years and a 5 year restraining order. I am a mother of 2 British children aged 5 and 3 and they live with me full time.
A solicitor from citizens advice bureau dealth with my case free of charge as i was destitute. Lets hope they respond soon as i am always worried about the outcome
