ILR SET (M) Help please.

Post by jasmine89 » Sun Sep 08, 2019 11:49 am

Hi All,

My husband is due to apply for his ILR in the next few days. We are in the process of getting the documents together and it would be great if i can get some guidance please.

Last time we used the Premium same day service which is not available anymore so we will be using the super priority. Can someone please guide me on how the online application works last time we had to take all the orignal documents and photocopies. How does the online application work now? Do i fill the form and upload the documents? Also with my new house i dont have the council tax bill yet but i have the land official copy of land registry certificate that you get on mortgage completion and solicitors letter accompanied with that. will that be enough?

Apply online. Submit and pay first. You then need to create an account with UKVCAS to book your appointment. All documents will be scanned and digitally submitted only !!

Do i scan the documents in advance when submitting the application or will they do it at the appointment. I dont want them to miss anything in scanning. What should i do with my house documents i have recently bought the house so i have the solicitors confirmation and land registry but dont have the council tax bill yet. I can get the transaction list from bank showing the payment going out and stamp it will that be enough.

You scan them yourself. However you must also take the docs to the appointment so they can be rescanned if there is an issue with your own scans.
You must provide 2 years of cohabitation documents. Why are you proving mortgage documents ?!

As a proof of accomodation and to confirm that i own the house. Is it not required. We have plenty of documents from the past two years. Statements nhs pensions letters polling cards etc.

Thanks a bunch for the clarification. Also with the threshold. My husband earns above the threshold in his employment. When filling the form should i still mention my pay.? Also what documents do i provide for my uk national son.

Also with the documents uploading my husband has three passports. Should we only use the two that he used in the 5 years spouse period or should we upload the one that he had back in 2009 with his student visa. And more importantly i ve been seeing everywhere that uploaded documents need to be black and white. Is that correct. I ve just spend two hours scanning everything in colour

I would advise you to upload full passport pages covering the 5 year period. Also, the older passports (bio pages at least if not full).

It says black and white because of the resolution and the size of the file as each file should be less than 6MB.

I personally uploaded colour and I was fine.

I am still unclear on the passport.

So for my uk national son and myself should i not upload any id documents?

Also with the cohabitation documents. When it says 6 documents do they have to be from 6 different sources or 6 documents in total spread over the period of time

I repeat if it is asked you upload it, otherwise NO

It is 3 documents covering the period of 2 years.

Thank you so much for clarifying. One last question before i submit application online. My husbands annual salary comes up to 24k based on his lowest payslip in the past 6 months. But on his employment letter it says 22.5k which is in his contract as well. Should we mention thr pay as per the employment letter or as per the lowest pay og payslip which is higher than the one stated in employment letter.

Thabk you soo much. Just last question.

I am filling the forms.

Periods of abcense section in uk. Does that apply to me in 5 year spouse route if it does should i mention all the dates on which i have gone on holidays in the five years. And lastly my husband was here for one year back in 2009 as a student so when it asks for how long have you lived in the uk will that be just the time as a spouse when my husband permanently moved to uk or should i count the one year as a student in it as well.
