ILR success at Croydon PEO : HSMP Jr

Post by rccp » Sat Feb 27, 2010 7:37 pm

Hi

Have been a regular reader of the posts here as I was working on my ILR application under HSMP JR. Great forum: many thanks to all of you for your contributions.

Got my appointment over the phone after repeated tries to do it online did not get us anywhere.

Reached the Croydon Home office at 11:00 am. Was at the counter in 10 minutes after security checks. The lady there asked for our passports, application form and last 3 months salary slips. Looked at that and then sent us to the payment counter.

Made the payment and was given a number and asked to wait. We were in the waiting area by 11:20. There seemed to be very few people dealing with the applications: we had to wait till 1:40 till we were called.

The officer asked for our passports, application forms. Flipped through the form and went to the documents submitted. From the list,he asked for:

1. last 6 months salary slips
2. last 3 bank statements
3. tax returns/ p60 for our entire duration of stay
4. company director report from companies house
5. marriage certificate
6. birth certificates for our children
7. land registry certificate for our house
8. 2 photographs each

he then said it will take him about 2 hours to go through everything and do the checks. we could go out but should come back before 4:00 pm.

We went out for lunch and returned by 3:00. Kept on waiting till 4:30pm ( quite tense as this was taking much longer than we thought and what most people here had written about) before we were called back.

The officer apologized that it had taken longer than expected but he was pleased to say that our application had been approved. We had to wait another 15 minutes before our passports were stamped.

The waiting time was quite long both before we were called and while the application was being considered. We were there for almost 6 hours. too much considering this is premium processing for which the Home office charges quite a lot of money.

Congratulation rccp!

The most important thing is that you have your ILR granted in this case and you were just unfortunate to be among the few that have to wait for long to get response on time for consideration of your application.
