ILR - Tier 2 Remote Working Successful Applications?

Post by teehee » Fri Dec 08, 2017 7:31 am

Hi Guys,

I will be eligible to apply for my ILR after 5 years of working here on a Tier 2 visa. I will be working remotely outside the country for 1 week before this application is made and this has been agreed with my employer. I just wanted to check if anyone else on this board has worked remotely outside the country and has had their ILR approved?

Based on this: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... broad_cont I believe that it looks ok, but I just want to double check other people's experiences too.

Thank you!

It is perfectly fine to work remotely if approved by employer. As far as I know if its more than 4 weeks then employer has to notify UKVI but if its less than that it is fine.

When you apply for ILR you would need letter confirming your all absences outside UK were approved and paid.
