One thing I forgot to add.

I had lost the first passport I used to enter the UK with which ran from 2008-2010.

However, I ordered bank statements that covered the period I had the old passport and received them few days ago. The thing is the bank statements do not have bank stamps on them so I was wondering if it will be necessary to have the statements stamped or not?
By the way, the bank statements are originals and not electronic or printout copies.
Anyone?

Also I'm planning on using the Bankers Draft as a form of payment. Should I use this within the 28 day period or could I just get it before then and just send it with the application once the qualifying period has been reached?

SET (LR) - Employer Approached

Post by coco__nutty » Mon Jul 16, 2018 2:16 pm

Finding the process quite slow at the moment - application posted 15.06., received the next day.
Money taken out a couple of days later.

Received an e-mail from HO confirming receipt and quoting the usual ‘up to 6 month turnaround’.

Also, last week my employer has asked me for concern to share information on my employment with the HO - which is fine, obviously, but I found this interesting, as my application is based on 10 year LT residency?
I did submit a letter of support from my employer (confining duration of employment and also lack of long term absences for the period of the last 8 years I’ve been with them).
Is this fairly standard for HO to request further info from employers at this stage?

Awaiting on my invitation to give Biometrics still - can’t see this being a swift process :)

I was under the impression that with ILR (LR) there is no need to provide any employment information? I certainly haven't seen that listed in any of list of required documents. Maybe a moderator who has more knowledge can confirm this.

Hi guys,

I'm sure these questions have been asked before but:

- Does days of departure and arrival into the UK count as days of absence? (i.e. if I leave on the 24th to France for example and come back on the 26th, will it only be 1 day of absence?)

- Does the Home Office have information on our departure through airlines API or will we have to prove date of departure, given that there are no exit stamps and arrival stamps are the next day sometimes.

Cheers!
Nick

Also, if possible for the first question, can you please link me the guidance? They only state that in the guidance on the 5 year route and not the 10 year route.

Hello All, I will be applying in August on 10 year basis. I want to know if I have to pay the Premium appointment and application fees of £2999 when booking an appointment now or on the day of the appointment in PEO. Thanks.

You pay the fees when you book online. The premium centres no longer take payments on the day.

Hello all,

I hope someone is able to help. I want to apply for my ILR (LR) and have all the necessary documents ready. However I'm unable to arrange a premium appointment as they are fully booked for the next 45 days!

I wonder what kind of processing times those who have applied in 2018 via post have encountered? I fear being without my passport for six months!

Thanks in advance :)

Hello All,

1.
I am applying for ILR on LR basis in September. I am currently on Tier 2 General. Would I be needing to provide a letter from my employer? If so please can you let me know what needed to be stated in the letter?

2.
I ve been trying to get a premium service appointment for Sept for the last week or so with no luck. I ve seen a solicitor advertising that they are registered with Croydon Premium Service Centre and they can arrange an appointment on my behalf. Would they be able to get an appointment quicker than me ?

I really appreciate a quick reply.

Can members please refrain from posting 'PREMIUM SERVICE' booking questions/problems in this topic, especially if you have already posted in one of the many topics already active regarding the current problems!!!

Within this Long residence(10 years) route, I have used 3 passports. I have lost one of the passport which is in between the three, which originally valid from 2011 until my lost of this passport, in middle of 2014.

1) What kind of evidence they are looking for to prove my existence in UK? I have previously applied Dependant visa, Spouse Visa with the police report as evidence, was it enough?

2)UK border give me a wrong stamp( wrong month, which happened about 8 years ago and I just realised last week) but I have itinerary as my evidence for this case. Would this delay the application even if I go for premium service?

Many Thanks,
Chien

1. The Set(LR) form states clearly what evidence HO expect to see for the period you have no passport. No, the police report is NOT enough.

2. Submit evidence you have then.

Thanks for the Replied. Can i use following as the proof of my existence in UK.
1) University Invoice?
2) University Year End Report?
3)Anything related to University?
4) tenancy agreement?
5) Bank Statements?
6) i do not have employer letter, but i have the initial contract and some months(not complete) payslips?

It is because there are two years in particular i stay in friends home, hence i do not have council tax bill as well as yearly contract with me. Hence, i find it difficult to find evidence other than university letter.

Many thanks
Chien

Hi,

I'm just finalising my application for my PSC appointment and have some questions.

1. on page 31 I am listing the documents I am including. I have my current passport and a previous (now expired) passport which has my first visa in it. Do I list this as sending 1 passport and 1 previous travel document, or do I list them as 2 passports?

2. My first 2 visas are in my old passport. My following visa was via a BRP which I had to return with my extension application. I take it there won't be any issues proving my continuous residence by just sending my current BRP as it is impossible to keep the old one anyway?

3. Any extra documents that I may be wise to take even if they aren't required? My application is fairly straight forward from what I can tell - 10 years continuous, all passports with past leave are going to be submitted.

Apart from these questions I think I am pretty set to apply.

Thank you.
