Not to worry about mate. I have gone through the posts yesterday under the subject of "extremely complex issue". It's very generic letter and a lot of people received it. And most of them got the approval after this letter. I don't think you would get any questionare letter because you never been on tier1.

@Faysal_cy:
Your current or last visa was tier1 ?

Hi guys,

Just another update so thought to share with you all. I applied Set LR 10 years on September 2016. Please read my previous posts in relation to my timeline and earnings, tax etc. Please see email below received few days ago from UKVI. Thanks

Dear Mr. Xxxx

The caseworker sent you an enquiry letter on xx May by recorded delivery number Xxxxxxxxxx You should receive this letter within the next few days and have until xxxxx June to provide a response.

Once the caseworker receives the requested information, we will be able to progress your application. I cannot advise how long that may take as enquiries may be needed with other Government organisations.

Please be assured that your application is under active consideration.

Hello All,
I was wondering if I could get some help with my circumstance.
(i) I came to UK in September 2008 for on a student visa.

(ii) In Jan 2010 I got a 2 year Post Study Work (PSW) visa, which was successful.

(iii) In Nov 2011 before my PSW visa expired, I had a civil partnership applied for the 2.5 years spousal visa. During this time my marriage broke up.

(iv) As I am gay, I applied for refugee visa, as I could not return to my country, after having a gay marriage. I applied for this visa before my 2.5 year spousal visa expired. The refugee leave to remain was granted in November 2014 without any problem. I have not been in the country illegally at any point. I have also not left the country for more than a few days in total.
Now I have two questions
1. Am I able to apply for ILR under long term 10 year route next year – in 2018, when I have been here for 10 years?

2. Am I able to use the PEO? I ask this because I have had to return my original passport when I applied for the refugee passport. I also have returned my previous bio-metric cards.
I would appreciate any help with this and I am happy to provide more information if anything is unclear.

Hi eoo10:

I have got same letter as yours from HO.
It appears that my application raises complex issues and they hope to make decision by August.
This is taking so long. I am so frustrated. :(
Anyone else in this forum get response after this letter ?

Hi Chief,

Been following your post for sometime. My LR application after tax amend for 2010-11 submitted on Aug 7 2016.
Biometrics done Sep 21st
Received letter on 21 Jan that case will take more than 6 months as there has been issue with biometric enrolment"
request update via solicitor in april 17 and they referred back to the same letter saying that the case will take more than 6 months as said before due to same issue.

Now i don't understand what can be issue with BM that they are not asking me to resubmit it nor they deciding on my app. Its been 10 months now.

I am not sure if i should expect the same questionnaire sent to you as i was on T1 before LR app.

Thanks

Dear hhe,
I feel sad reading that the almighty UKVI has sent you a copy of their most recent response to most application. This totally unfair on applicant. It seems to me that the good for nothing people working in this government department literally issue this template letter to vulnerable application leaving us with sleepless night and the thought of what the complexity might be. what's your history? any tax return? any toefl history?

Hi Wahab,

I still haven't received the letter yet but most likely it will be same sort of questions in relation to tax and self employment. I will let you people know.
Secondly, I thought 10 years route will be easier and quick but look what's happening I have been waiting for nearly 9 months. Just keep chasing home office that's the best you can do and stop spending money on stupid lawyers. Lawyers can't do nothing trust me. Good luck to all of us. Go Nawaz Go

Hello all the forum memebers,
I have varied my application to ILR (LR) on 1st of Novemebr 2016, received the monthly emails regularly saying that H.O aims decide my application with in 6 months. In the last week of completing my 6 months, I received a letter stating that due to high volume of application its not been possible to decide my application with in the service standard time. I have heard about the letter stating complex issues as a reason for the delay. Some people suggest to get the local MP involved but at the moment no active MP in the office due to general election in June. I believe 6 months are more than enough to decide whatever the complexity is.

Hi hhe,
My history has been Student, tier 4, PSW, tier 4. I'm actually thinking that this absurd delay has to do with the forth coming election. Probably the current government has decided to put all ilr approvals on hold till the election outcome. All we can do now is to wait and hold our peace and of course be optimistic.

Hi all,

Many applicants on this forum are still waiting for the outcome of their applications. Many of them have been waiting since last year and yet no outcome has been received from the HO ( including me). I have been waiting for more than 6 months now and received a letter that my case is complex issues.

To be honest, we don't really know what complex issues defined by the HO are. I think anything for them would be described as complex issues.. :)

My solicitor has sent letters asking how much time they need to process the application and nothing has come from them. It seems that they don't intend to reply as it's nothing that they can do.

My understanding would be Brexit has made the pressure within the HO and they don't really have enough staff to process it. But still, Does it really take more than 6 months to process it?

Like (eoo10), the best thing that we can do now is probably waiting and hopefully positive outcomes will be on our way.

Thanks

@be123+
Can you digest this excuse from Home office about the cases being so complex that they require more time to process our ILR applications or they are waiting on other govt departments to secure our records from them. Be HMRC, if an accountant can get the whole record with in 3 to 4 weeks for their clients, how come the same record is taking the Home office for ever??? Even their excuse is Brixit, the articale 50 has only been invoked in end march 2017 but some of the applicants have submitted their application much before than that i.e 8 to 13 months before??? The reason is simple there is no body to ask them or question them for whatever they doing to us. The know that the only move they can adopt is to cause so much frustration that we with draw our applications and leave the country, they live in the same world and know that we also have feelings, relative back in our home countries. How long can some one wait in such a situation?? I have seen people losing their love one in their Home countries while waiting on the decisions, it really hurts. I have seen a lot of applications with similar circumstances successful in the same day appointments, do you guys think that with in 1 to 2 hours they have checked the applicant record with all the so called Govt departments??? with in 1 to 2 hours, some thing that takes for ages in postal applications. we shouldn't be dealt like this, we are not criminals. There are two sides involved in each application i.e Applicant and Home office, If one side the applicant can be punished by not complying with the rules then why not the other side the Home office by not complying with their duties despite of taking the full fees for the applications.

First of all thank you everyone for posting their recommendations here, they have been really helpful.
Just wanted to share my experience.

Student visa for 5 years
Post study work visa for 2 years
Entrepreneur visa for 3 years

Went on Saturday to Croydon and after 1 hr I got my approval decision that day.
BRP received on Wednesday.

Documents:

-Passports
-Life in the UK test
-Student letters/certificates/diplomas covering first 5 years of residence
-Letter from Accountant covering other 5 years
- Annual company accounts

Something I found confusing was that application form doesn't mention bank statements as mandatory so I didn't bring them that day, but case worker called me that day asking for them and I said why I didn't have them with me plus I called Home Office help line and they didn't mention it neither.
Anyway I downloaded my last 3 months statements for my personal and business accounts and send them via email, not a big issue but something to have in mind.

Hi
Hopefully I am in the right place.

I came to UK in 2007 as a family member of an EE national.
I have been working since (have payslips) and my hubby has his own company for more than 8 years.
Now I am 10 years in UK.

Can I apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain by submitting the form SET(LR) (32 pages)?
If not please advise what form shall I submit.
Thank you

Hi all,
Hoping someone can help ease my anxiety.
I've lived in the U.K. Legally for over 14 years on a dependency visa of my mother's.
I applied for my ILR set LR 10 years long residence permit on the 5th Dec 2016
Biometric enrolment letter was received and completed on the same day 20th Dec 2016.
Since then I have heard nothing from HO. I've read some threads where people were contacted to submit other documents or attend interviews. I'm just a little worried as in 2 and a half weeks it will be 6 months since I submitted my application. Should I wait till the 5th June and contact them or is there something I can do now?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to reply my post and reply x
