Hi hhe,
I actually don't think your suggestion is a bad idea as it will enable applicant like use track the progress of all complex issue cases. How I wish that the administration of this great forum can approve of it.

Can you digest this excuse from Home office about the cases being so complex that they require more time to process our ILR applications or they are waiting on other govt departments to secure our records from them. Be HMRC, if an accountant can get the whole record with in 3 to 4 weeks for their clients, how come the same record is taking the Home office for ever??? Even their excuse is Brixit, the articale 50 has only been invoked in end march 2017 but some of the applicants have submitted their application much before than that i.e 8 to 13 months before??? The reason is simple there is no body to ask them or question them for whatever they doing to us. The know that the only move they can adopt is to cause so much frustration that we with draw our applications and leave the country, they live in the same world and know that we also have feelings, relative back in our home countries. How long can some one wait in such a situation?? I have seen people losing their love one in their Home countries while waiting on the decisions, it really hurts. I have seen a lot of applications with similar circumstances successful in the same day appointments, do you guys think that with in 1 to 2 hours they have checked the applicant record with all the so called Govt departments??? with in 1 to 2 hours, some thing that takes for ages in postal applications. we shouldn't be dealt like this, we are not criminals. There are two sides involved in each application i.e Applicant and Home office, If one side the applicant can be punished by not complying with the rules then why not the other side the Home office by not complying with their duties despite of taking the full fees for the applications.
I am fully agree with u. they just taking too much from. our life our time its nothing to them. i think they should into one kind of system where they have to explain why they can't make a decision within 6 month ( logical reason not just ordinary complex issue). we should do something.

I've lived in the U.K. Legally for over 14 years on a dependency visa of my mother's.
I applied for my ILR set LR 10 years long residence permit on the 5th Dec 2016
Biometric enrolment letter was received and completed on the same day 20th Dec 2016.
Since then I have heard nothing from HO. I've read some threads where people were contacted to submit other documents or attend interviews. I'm just a little worried as in 2 and a half weeks it will be 6 months since I submitted my application. Should I wait till the 5th June and contact them or is there something I can do now?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to reply my post and reply x
Hi Shariii,

Going by the trend on Long Residence, you should receive further correspondence fro the UKVI this week or next week. But you never can tell because their are some members who did not receive any correspondence at all even after the completion of service standard duration. I will you all the best.

hello, i received a letter from home office today, after five months of my application. (10 years Route). All my previous visa was dependent of student, Post study work and T2 dependent.

My Husband has got his indefinite stay since last year on 10 years route

My three children has got there British Citizen since last year as well ,after my husband had his indefinite.

Dear xxxx

We aim to process a all application within 6 months from the date submitted. However, in certain circumstances this target is not possible. following our assessment of your case, unfortunately it appears your application will not be processed within the 6 month target

This is because your application raises exceptionally complex issues and we required further time to consider your case thoroughly and reach a decision.

We expect to make a decision on your application by 28 August 2017, but we will write to you again if this not going to be possible.

Yours Sincerely.

I hope i will get my decision by August

Yet another complex issues victim. Let's all cross our fingers and of course keep praying to God to do wonders. I wish UKVI could at least give us hint of our complexity and not keep is all in the dark.

Same here. After 5 months of applying for ILR 10 years long residence, received a letter quoting the same complex issues. Today it has been 8 months checking my posts daily with the expectation that i will receive something from them. Nothing heard from HO since that complex issues letter. Any remedy or do we have to wait for years to come.

Going by the trend UKVI appears to be adding additional 3 months to the service standard. I strong think that it is absurd to treat postal applicant this way while premium service gets same day decision. Their is no iota of fairness in the way This government department is treating us. Anyway, we will wait and hope for the best.

Boss you need to send Home office all the required documents in 28 days. Call your stupid lawyer now or go to his office if he's away then it's his fault he should have left someone incharge to check posts and communicate with the clients. Your lawyer is very stupid even more stupid than me. I hate lawyers.

Hi everyone,

My ILR is under process. I applied under T1 general route. My 10 years are now complete. In case of rejection, can I submit judicial review "and" apply for SET (LR) ?

My understanding is that once you submit a new application, your previous case is withdrawn. But I read on another forum someone suggesting the above.

Thanks

JR is not part of the Immigration rules process like Appeals. You can't submit an application without withdrawing an APPEAL, which is not relevant to JR. An application for JR does not give you section 3C protection either.

For LR ILR, the same checks will be done as Tier 1 G ILR.

Hi Shaz,

Let me try to answer your straight question with a straight answer.

Yes you can apply for your JR and a new ILR(LR) application at the same time.
The JR has to be filed within 3 months of the AR refusal.
Your new ILR(LR) has to submitted immediately after your AR refusal.

But we hope you don't have to go through this. Good luck with your application.

Regards
