Ok great. Check your luck max till Saturday. As you will get an appointment for Friday (28 days apart). If you check Sunday or Monday.. it will be a weekend 28 days apart and availability is almost none.

Lets say you book on Saturday 00:01 AM GMT, you will get one for Friday 15th Jan.

So test your luck to find cancellations during the day (regularly) for next 2/3 days OR max (before Sat 00:01AM GMT).

If no luck then book for ALL together. Appointments open up for a new day at 12AM (make sure its a week day 28 days apart).

Once you book you can not see any availability or cancellations then.

Have you uploaded all your documents in the correct sections and accounts?

My tip for you

You must book an UKVCAS appointment now to complete your application process and submit biometrics. IDV is the past except T4.

You can book an appointment anytime before the deadline i.e. 45 working days after submission.

Better to keep checking before Saturday randomly through out the day/different locations so you may end up securing an earlier one if there are any cancellations.

However, you can always upload your documents and SELF-submit so your documents are sent to UKVI even before biometrics (optional) OR you can upload anytime before biometrics appointment itself. Self-submission option can be availed only once and up to 48hrs before appointment only. In case you want to add anymore documents after self-submission (e.g. you missed any documents), you can still upload and submit at the appointment itself. Self-submission is recommended so you can save time even before biometrics.

See at top @ UKVCAS account. You will see “document upload”
You can upload your documents there on the UKVCAS portal and then follow self-submission if you wish.

Also see the new UKVCAS flash updates regularly:

https://www.ukvcas.co.uk/flash-message- ... geId=74833
Do NOT buy any documents checking service its a waste and your documents will be blocked and not sent to UKVI till appointment date then.

Dear Cullinan,

I am very grateful to your help in clarifying on a lot of matters so that I could plan ahead.

I have good news for you. I checked on UKVCAS once yesterday night. Most centres are either full or need to pay fees at a minimum £139 per time slot. So I logged out without booking. Early in the morning, I logged back on and check the status, the centre, which is acceptable to me, has sufficient FREE slots and I booked immediately as follows:

3 Appointments booked on 11 January 2020:
1.One time slot for the dependant 18+child at 3.30pm
2.One time slot for the Main applicant + the dependant spouse at 4pm
3.One time slot for the dependant 18+child at 4.30pm

Thank you for everything.

Dear Cullinan,

NO. I did not buy any extra services and would self submit and neither have I uploaded the documents.

Even though I am ready with all the documents, I would like to go through once again to rename some of the file names to make it simple and easy to understand. I am sure as and when I upload, I may encounter hiccups, I will come back for your help for sure.

Thanks a lot

Perfect. Happy you got free appointment slots for the same day for all and saved some unnecessary wasted money.

Documents:
Take your time. Whenever you are happy and feel your ready, you may self-submit OR submit at appointment itself. I would still recommend self-submission (available up to 48 hours before 11th Jan).

Keep the file names short and compact. PDF files organised. Also add captions when you upload each file. The system lets you add “description.” Keep it one word or as short as possible.

Good luck.

Dear Cullinan,

I am ready to do self submit. I went through the UKVCAS website for upload of documents, noted what you said earlier, each file size should not be more than 6 MB and all documents scanned shall be black and white.

I can confirm that each of my scanned documents are less than 6 MB per file. For example, each month I have one FPS and 2 payslips, in total, i have 3 scanned documents for this per month. Since i am submitting 18 months payroll records, i would have 54 scanned documents (i.e 18 months x 3= 54) for this and each scanned documents should not be more than 6 MB, correct?

Regarding the scanned documents should be black & white. I have already scanned all the documents in colour and each file size is less than 6 MB, do I need to rescan everything in black & white?

Thank you.

Kind regards

Ben

Colour is better as long each file size is below 6MB.

I would suggest to make 1 PDF file for ALL payslips and 1 PDF for all FPS in date order. So you will only have 2 files rather than 54 files. Make it organised. My suggestion. Rest is your choice.

Dear Cullinan,

Noted your comments, I will do according to our advice, so my scanned documents will be a mixture of coloured documents and black & white (B&W) documents as follows (just to list a few for your reference:

All documents are in PDF:
1.All our passports & BRP will be coloured,
2.One file for payslips (Jul2019 to 31/12/2020) (B&W)
3.One file for FPS (Jul2019 to 31/12/2020)(B&W)

4.Cohabitation documents as follows:
Bank A- joint name (12 files) (coloured),
Bank B- main applicant- Sole name (13 files) (coloured),
Bank B- Dependant spouse- Sole name (13 files) (coloured),
Electricity bill- joint name (9 files) (coloured),

Please advise on cohabitation documents.

Thank you.

Colour is better but if you can not contain file size to 6MB, Black and white is okay also.

Ideally keep ALL cohabitation documents in 1 file in date order. So make 1 PDF file for all. My suggestion.

Dear Cullinan,

8.Proof of identity/ travel history
8.1 All passports Previous only covering last 5 years only (if any) including current ones

Regarding the above. the checklist mentioned "all previous passports", it did not say previous passports covering the last 5 years. Please clarify again.

Another question regarding uploaded documents, I thought i can upload/ remove any documents anytime but I saw this "Note: If a document has a status of ‘submitted’ then it cannot be removed.", so under what circumstance will the status show "submitted" ?

Thank you.

Your application is based on 5 years so you only need passports to cover that period

You can upload and delete as long you have not self-submitted. You can only self-submit once but can not delete any after that. However, you can upload more and submit again at appointment then only
Thank you.

Once you will self-submit all file names will say “submitted”

Dear Cullinan,

Why I cant find the button "submit" on the upload of document page?

So basically, I can upload the documents on a staggered basis and i can take as long as it takes until 48 hours before the appointment date, I can still remove any files I have uploaded. Correct?

Upload all your documents, log out and log in again. Submit button will appear. You can use “self-submission” option ONLY up until 48hrs before appointment. Self-submission is optional.

IF you self-submit you can NOT delete then.

Do not confuse, “submit” “self-submit” and “upload”

Dear Cullinan,

OK noted, can i then upload all documents only without "self submit" and leave it to the day of appointment, then ask them to "submit".

And what is the advantage of "self submit"? will it help to expedite the process of approval since HO C/W can review my documents first.

Yes to first.

Possible (speculated- general understanding) yes to second.

You can only gain, nothing to loose from self-submission.

Dear Cullinan,

Ok understood.

Regarding the passport covering the last 5 years, it is counted from the date of application submission date or the current passport issue date?

1.Application submitted 14/12/2020
2.current passport: 18/8/2020 (issue date) to 18/2/2026
3 current passport: 15/9/2015 (issue date) to 15/3/2021

I supposed the passport covering the last 5 years is counted backwards from 14/12/2020 to 14/12/2015, so in this case, passport #3 above is sufficient? Please confirm.

Thank you.

Dear Cullinan,

Correction:
1.Application submitted 14/12/2020
2.current passport: 18/8/2020 (issue date) to 18/2/2026
3 Immediately preceding current passport: 15/9/2015 (issue date) to 15/3/2021

Passport(s) covering period from when you entered UK since your first visa issue date on Tier 1. Calculate accordingly.

All previous passport(s) before the above stated are unnecessary.
