The money has been taken from my account on 25 July. When I log into my PSC application account, I still get the message that 'You have a few more steps before your booking will be complete'. So it is clear that if, in case, I want to change the appointment date or want to cancel I cannot do that with my account. Even, I can not download and print checklist.

Moreover, although they provided me a BRN (an actual number, not XXXXX) but it is unclear if the BRN is associated with my name as they said 'there is an appointment booked' at that time and date.

Can someone knowledgeable and experienced in this forum advice me what I should do in this situation?
Is the checklist is a mandatory item for that appointment day because of which the application might be refused?

I completed payment but confirmation email says that i need to book again cos time taken to pay was too long (less than 3 mins). The money has left my account as my bank confirmed this to me. The biggest trouble is that on my premium service appointment page online, it shows PAYMENT SUCCESSFUL with the reference number but it doesn't show date, time or the office for the appointment. I just can't get past this page. I have opened on different computers and iPads, I'm just stuck to the PAYMENT SUCCESSFUL page. It doesn't allow me to cancel nor re-schedule too. Please what did you do? Can you kindly give me the e-support contact details? Looking forward to your kind assistance.

I would say u would have to email for refund if you dont have the payment reference email.

There is an ongoing issue, where after u book the slot and going through payment (all within the 10minute time slot) and yet they will still not hold your slot and claim that u took too long. But you should have received an email stating that your payment was successful with a payment reference as stated - just without a booking confirmation for the appointment time slot.

Unfortunately you would have to stay up again and try to rebook the appointment, plus side is you wont have to go through payment page again so it should be fairly quick, just a matter of clicking the time slot and hit continue and wait for the confirmation page as they system will note that you have already paid and wont need to be redirected to payment page.

Have you tried ringing the Home office?

When I rang them about 3-4 times, I found them very helpful and polite.

Hi,

I spent a lot of time on here in the past few months and feels like a community I belong to and received great help and support from. So I just want to share my entire experience.

I was first advised in 1st week of July to start looking for appointments 45 days in advance. Since then I was checking constantly at 12am and 6am as those were the "rumoured" times when the Home Office would release dates.

Auto-refresh was a handy plugin I learnt about on this forum .Thank you to whoever shared it. Its great if you set it to long enough time durations (esp during high traffic periods where it takes ages for 1 refresh)

Distill was an absolute beauty. It took me a few hours to figure out its working. But once it did, I had it on 3 different browsers with 3 different accounts on 3 different locations. So yeah, that helps. I did get a slot, first was a week after my visa expiry. Spent another week or so of sleepless nights trying to get the right slot. Found the right slot for 17th Sept, 2 days before expiry.

Went to the Croydon office today , and my application was successful. I have been granted ILR.

I feel the need to share as I distinctly remember a time of sheer hopelessness and despair (about 2-3 months!) and an almost resignation attitude to this whole saga. But its amazing how things worked out, with a bit of persistence, step by step, when I took the help on this forum, and luckily received help!

Hi

I am finally able to book an appointment for Liverpool office. I can see lot of appointments opening for Croydon during mid-night but when I try to reschedule it, it displays an error and appointment cannot be rescheduled.

I have tried it numerous times on different laptops, mobile etc but all in vain.

Any advice on this or anyone facing the similar issue.

Are you able to reschedule your appointment. I have been trying reschedule my appointment but as soon as I hit the complete booking button, the site errors out.

I have tried this more than 20 times with different devices but still no luck.

This board has been amazing - thank you to everyone for your help.

I have one question...

I need to get an appointment before my expiry date of 5th October. Unfortunately every appointment that I see is after my expiry date.

Should I book an appointment for after 5th October & then look to re-schedule?
Is it easier to re-schedule once you have an appointment or is it the same process as finding the original appointment?

Any help would be REALLY appreciated as I'm really panicking!!!

Thanks for your reply. Yes, i've called the H.O about 4 times. Initially, i was told there was nothing they can do except request a refund. I called again today and i was told to email the online team which i did today. Someone replied asking for URL of the payment page. I replied with screen shots of the page. I am yet to hear from the team. I am really worried as my current leave runs out in exactly 3 weeks. I can't seem to get my money back within the time i've got left. Even if I have to do a postal application, will the money i've paid to H.O cover it? Wish i have another £3k to spare right now, maybe i wont be this depressed!This whole thing is really getting to me. I've just been left clueless...

I am facing the same issue since the start of this month. Cant see any appointments at all. I am yet to see any appointments at all tried my best by logging in midnight early morning 0600am or in the afternoon.
Any idea how I can get a reminder when the slots are added so that I can be more proactive.
Any suggestions and help would be highly appreciated.

You can use distill & AutoRefresh plugin on chrome, they will refresh the page automatically and email/SMS/play a sound etc once the page changes. I have used this to see appointments almost everyday in both birmingham & london.

I keep it running in the background while working, already booked mine, but checking for a better date now.

Been trying for 2 weeks and am now constantly sleepy !
I've read all the comments here and thanks to everyone for their advice! What I don't understand is everyone refers to it as "refresh the page" don't you have to click save and continue for the page to change? So refreshing the page once you've chosen the centre basically keeps the same page or am I missing something? Because I haven't understood this point I haven't been able to figure out how to use distil and auto refresh. Could someone please kindly help?

Here is step by step
1. Open chrome
2. Install https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... jfhg?hl=en
3. Open the link to book an appointment
4. select your preferred center - let's say croydon
5. press continue - you should see no appointments available for the next 45 days
6. click on auto refresh plus icon, select the interval you want, i suggest something between 20-30 you may have to change that based on your internet speed
7. keep the chrome tab open, once you see an appointment stop the plugin
8. book your appointment.

Another step by step for distill

1. Open chrome
2. Install https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... dgge?hl=en
3. Open the link to book an appointment
4. select your preferred center - let's say croydon
5. press continue - you should see no appointments available for the next 45 days
6. click on distill icon and select monitor full page (this will open a new tab for setting)
7. change the interval to something between 20-30 seconds (more or less based on internet speed)
8. In the actions sections click add action, and select open page in tab
8a. add any more actions that you want
9. press save
10. wait for a tab to open on chrome, this will happen when distill detects a change in the page

Hi @ahasnaini Just wanted to give an update...thanks once again for the info and I think I have finally managed to get it to work. Unfortunately though I've never been notified of a page change except when it was an error "page not found" :roll: well at least it's working.

For those of you trying to book has anyone had any luck these past days? I seem to get the page that has the dates but with NO time slots available for any of the days!

Thanks, I've not seen a single appointment during the day the only time I've seen an appointment is at midnight and it's only just one. The dates that are showing now start from the 13th of November. I was hoping to get one anytime in the next 2 weeks preferably at Sheffield. Although of course I'm willing to go to another centre except Belfast. May I ask which centres did you find availability please?

I have been looking at mostly birmingham. have looked at london a few times as well.

If you keep looking they will release more appointments for earlier dates as well. I have seen some for october thou not regularly every other day or so.

I suggest book whatever is available, after that try to change it. That will ensure you have at least something booked in case you don't find a better slot.

I have been trying to book an appointment date for the past 3 weeks, however every time when i get through to appointment dates during midnight openings it does not show up any time slots for any available dates. Eventually stating " i did not answer the question" do you know any reason for that ? and how can i overcome this problem ?

Dear all,

I am facing the same problem no time slots are shown on given available dates, as a result I get a message that I have to answer the question etc.. and looses the chance to book the date. I am trying from last 4 weeks, every night from 12 to 12:30. I am trying Glasgow, Liverpool and Belfast.

Please, can anyone update on the issue, if any.
