Regarding to the 10 Years ILR

Regarding the requirements for the UK's indefinite leave to remain (ILR) after 10 years, how can one ensure the continuity of the 10-year period? My current visa expires on the 20th, but due to Christmas, I might be able to submit a new application around that date. However, it's likely that I'll only receive the new visa in January next year. Would this count as an interruption in the 10-year period?

the date of application is the date you submit and pay your application fees and as long as this is done BEFORE your visa expires, then you are protected under Section 3C of the immigration rules, meaning your existing visa conditions continue while an application is pending.

Thank you and another question from my wife, at couple of years ago, she supplied a VISA and got the VISA after the previous one expire 1 month. We cannot remember when she applied the VISA and if the VISA applied before or after the previous one expire, is there any way to get the applied date?

Check if there is a way you can get copy of the application you filled, trawl through emails for evidence of application or acknowledgement.
