SET(M) sponsor income

Post by G_Prakash » Tue Nov 26, 2013 6:57 am

Hi ,

Just a brief question regarding the income on SET(M), basically I am on FLR(M) and about to apply ( first week of DEC ) for ILR .
I am the applicant , my wife is British Citizen she is not working. I only ( applicant ) work, will it be a problem , would they ask why you sponsor is not working.

SEt(M) rent payment evidence

Post by G_Prakash » Tue Nov 26, 2013 7:05 am

I understand from the previous posts that case officer will be using the formula ( A-B >= C ) to calculate the adequate maintenance fund.
The problem is my rent is £950. I pay is rent partially by cash and partial by bank transfer ( landlord is my brother  so bit of flexibility there ).
Again will they ask why your bank statement is not showing the rent debit of £950 ? please advice.

Do I need to show some evidence for rent out going on my bank statement.

This reminds me something. if I use the formula to calculate the adequate maintenance fund, for self - employed, is salary + dividends accepted ? as self employed people take home minimum as salary and rest as dividends for tax purpose (still legal)

I will be paying tax on both salary and dividends.

Thanks

For roughly every 4 months over the last 2 years, a joint letter or a letter each from a total of at least 3 different sources.

i have received ILR on Long residence basis last month and my wife who joined me in the UK in June 2011 as Work permit dependent is currently on Tier 2 dependent

I am planning to apply for FLR M for her, what relevant funds i have to show for maintenance requirement and for how long the funds need to be shown ?

She is not working at the moment...

Adequate maintenance rather than a specific requirement. Do you have children, if so, how many?

hi Amber,

can you please confirm what 'adequate amount' would be in my case, we have no children?

Thanks Amber

Is adequate maintenance a requirement for FLR M or SET M or both? Would 3 month's bank statements plus recent payslips suffice as proof for adequate maintenance?

Both. 3 months wage slips and corresponding bank statements.
