SET(M) ILR

Post by PWong » Thu Aug 09, 2018 11:48 am

Hi. I'm in a similar situation to apply for SET (M) .

You can apply for ILR 28 days before you complete 5 years in the UK (i.e your entry date into the UK).

Can I still apply through Premium service 28 days before visa expires? I have already completed by 5yrs in July.

Thanks

You can apply no SOONER than within 28 days before reaching 5 years residence but you can apply at any time BEFORE your visa expires.

Set (M) Financial

Post by PWong » Fri Sep 21, 2018 5:10 pm

Hi

I have my Premium appointment next Thursday. YAY!

I have almost all the required documents ,but unsure on the income section.

Based on my own salary, it does not meet the minimum £18600. However my husband (Brit) have a Scottish Widows Mortgage Offset saver account, in which the savings in the Offset Saver account can be accessible at any time so we plan to apply based on 8.3E Cash savings

Would the term "Offset saver account" create any confusion as to whether it's cash savings account?

On the bank statement, it shows both the Mortgage statement as well as the Offset Saver account balance.

Also under this section it requires to provide other savings account we hold as well. Do we need to as the other cash savings accounts is below £18600 and base on Scottish Widows statement it's more than enough to cover the £18600?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Are you relying on cash savings alone to meet the minimum finance level :?:

Hi Casa,

I was also able to print out the below explanation of Offset savers account from Scottish Widows bank and have attached to the statement.

Your savings are held in a completely separate account – called an Offset Saver Account. Although you are using your savings to reduce the balance of your mortgage for interest purposes you can access them at any time should you need the money.

We believe this gives you the best of both worlds:

immediate access to your savings
and, while you are not using your savings, make them work for you by reducing the amount of interest you are charged on your mortgage.

so with instant access to our savings account , it should be enough right?

thanks
