Hi jes23,
Congratulations to you and your dependants! It is very encouraging to hear good news, very happy for you.
Just a quick question, did your dependants get ilr as a stamp on their passport or other form of document?
Thanks
MrH123 wrote:Many congratulations Js23. Great news indeed.
A quick question please. Does the existence of dependants increase the processing time or is it mainly the nationality?
Thanks that really helps! Goodluckjes23 wrote:Hullu6 wrote:jes23 wrote:Dear all,

Hello to you,
ILR is provided to all of us just as BRP card. STAMP or Sticker is no longer provided. Once you travel abroad with travel doc or national passport, once you come back ,you must show your BRP card along side your passport at the UK Border.

Thank you Jes23 for the clarification. Agree but as for individual cases, I believe nationality is the dominant factor(not sure about the dependents issue though). Some members are still waiting for nearly a year while others got it in about 4 months recently.jes23 wrote:MrH123 wrote:Many congratulations Js23. Great news indeed.

I am not sure what is the main reason for taking long time(almost 6 months for my application), but I can point out two general issues apart from nature of each application which has effects to this process :
1- Brexit and increase of settlement applications by European citizens in the UK. It has made hug pressure on Home Office
2- Purdah status of government: in related to general election in June 2017 , government went to the pre-election period for 4 weeks. it slowed down every functions of the UK government .

Hi Hulu6Hullu6 wrote:Hi guys,
I am confused on filling the brp section 5 of the form. Once the main applicant puts his detail, what about for dependents? Are dependants expected to fill the same section separately? Even those who never had brp card before?
Thanks

I'm very pleased to have found this very helpful forum. Many thanks to everyone contributing to it.
My timeline is as follows:
I applied for ILR on 20 March 2017 and Biometrics enrollment was done a few days later.
I've been receiving email monthly email on 28th
Decision: NOT YET
I've got a question for those who have recently got ILR. I know that ILR can't be backdated but do you get a letter from your caseworker stating that you were free from immigration control on the day your previous limited leave to remain was expired?
Thanks
