Hey guys, long time lurker here. Finally decided to get an account because I'm so anxious.
Sent my application 05 July
Appointment 09 July

I tried looking in this board and I'm really worried because I haven't my sent Travel Document and BRP off, but it was scanned at the appointment so I thought that was enough but I'm having second thoughts. Page 157 people say no need but around mid-July pages say you do? Also, I sent my consent form really late, 03 August- I couldn't find it for ages and it wasn't on the checklist so I was confused. I applied alone without an immigration adviser which I realize now was kind of stupid urgh. The UKVCAS site is soooo uphelpful I can barely access any info.
Can anyone assure/advise me? They have my contact details so I wish they would contact me but seems like they'd hate nothing more. Can't believe they stopped doing the monthly updates literally the month I applied, I'm literally so anxious about it all  .
Hello,
Don't worry at all. I guess we're in the same boat. However I had applied 2 months before you. So just relax and be patient as HO acknowledgement mentions that it may take up to 6 months :)
With regards to the BRP and travel document, we're now meant to keep them with us. No need to sending it to HO anymore as they've scanned copies and verified by their officers at the Biometric Enrolment centres.
With regards to the status emails, I haven't received any as HO did stop them.
Also, I had received 2 acknowledgement emails but people applying nowadays are only receiving ONE acknowledgement email.
Best wishes and hope you get it soon!

Hi all

couple of questions regarding my application

- Should I declare my expiry speeding ticket, I received 3points but now I have a clean driving licence?
- Should tell them I got a parking ticket but I paid them on-time no court at all?

- I know you should apply one month before your Biometric expiry so I applied for my ILR Set(p) and submitted form on 30/09/2019 but my Biometric will expiry on 10/11/2019. Would this be a problem?

- if applying early would be problem can I re-apply?

- After I applied I had to book appointment for "Attend an appointment to provide your documents and biometrics " BUT when I was checking appointments almost full and VIP cost range £150-250 ? WTF :( company called "sopra steria.

No. Good character is not part of SET(P) requirements, contrary to naturalisation applications
- Should tell them I got a parking ticket but I paid them on-time no court at all?
Neither, same reason.
- I know you should apply one month before your Biometric expiry so I applied for my ILR Set(p) and submitted form on 30/09/2019 but my Biometric will expiry on 10/11/2019. Would this be a problem?
Unlikely. Some posters applied even 2-3 months early and still got their ILR.
- if applying early would be problem can I re-apply?
You can only re-apply before your current leave expires. I assume though you will not have an answer on the original application by then, anyway. If I were you I'd stay put

You can do biometrics at post office. However, they cannot scan supporting documents and you would have to send them to HO by post. Sopra steria offers free, £60 and £100 appointments too, though the availability of free appointments is limited or waiting time long.
Good luck. My answers above.

Hello
I think you should apply via post office.Sopra is just making money from people.Good character test is relevant in all applications but threshold is not as high as in nationality cases where HO tries every bit to find something to refuse BC.You will get ILR easily around 3 months.

This whole process is so torturous and unfair. It's really depressing and so many employers won't even consider me because of proof of right to work. Even though we have the right during the application, no one can be bothered and obviously choose people with more stable immigration process. I've been in the asylum system for too long and am so depressed and exhausted. I check this thread everyday. Anyone else got theirs recently? I'm trying to hold on to hope

Question is about your ties in home country... If you have family there you can put their names ...
If you don't have any simply say no to that question.......

oh no,
finger cross.

I think because they are short of staff and no budget. and they use available resources for other applications which paid good money compare to us pay nothing :(.

I wish we had option of fast track :)

But what else can we do other than wait?

let's keep each other update,

Ask your employer to use employee checking service, whilst your application is in process. The home office will send them notification confirming your in time application which should allow you to carry on working. If the application was made within 28 days before the expiry date, you are covered under section 3C of immigration act 1971, which should allow you to have same rights when you had your leave.

I hope you receive a positive reply next week mate.
I heard from someone if you can’t access the application online anymore that means they might have made their decision. As it tells you on the website that you can access your details for sometime I think and then they would delete all the data. Don’t know how much truth is there to it.. Check if you can still see your application online. All the best
