WHAT will happen if I forgot to send or upload my consent letter at appointment with my documents will refuse my application or HO will contact me ?
Consent documents is mandatory for if you have a Depandent applicant or you declare any financial sources with you applicstion but if it is single applicant, I think you don't need to worry.
Tnx.
I have Depandent so will HO request that from me later or refuse my application

Hi. I didn't submit the form as was told it's not necessary in refugee case, I've got a letter from Home office where they didn't mentioned about form but they can't make a decision because there was a problem with my fingerprints so I need do it again therefore I wouldn't worry much about it.

I have updated my name on my Diving Licence after submitting the ILR application. The new Driving Licence has a different number to the old one which I've included with the ILR application. In other words, ILR application has old Driving Licence number.

Could this be an issue?

Can you travel to country which u are seeking refugee from after being granted ILR? secondly are there any comments made on BRP about being refugee I.e. “refugee settlement” or it is just “indefinite leave to remain” ?
1. No, it is not advisable as your ilr and refugee status can be revoked. This applies even if you apply for a passport at your home country embassy.

2. The BRP card will say refugee settlement/ILR.
Hi, do you know if set p team has an individual email id that I could write to, to enquire about my application status..??it's been over six months now...
Hi Jesse8
Do you have any news/or did anyone from SL have received any updates from Home office.
I heard some one waiting more than 6 months no updates.
Thanks.

Hi there...
hope you are well!
My original passport was retained by the Home Office when I was granted refugee status. And under documents checklist, one of the required document is "The travel document issued by home country"; I wanted to check whether any of you were asked to submit your passport and what did you do?
I am thinking of submitting a covering letter that mentions that the original passport was retained by Home Office.

Many thanks

When you complete your online application it asks if you have a VALID national passport. It's expired in my case so I've put NO. Then it asks for your recent EXPIRED national passport, I've put the details of that then I put that I don't have the passport itself and explained that it remained with the HO when applying for a UK Travel Document.

If you're talking about the UKVCAS document upload after you've submitted your online application, then yes it does ask for the National Passport as a mandatory document. I happen to have a copy of that so I uploaded it. When you first claimed asylum the HO should have made copies of all of your documents (including your national passport) so ideally you should have a copy of it. Funnily enough, when I went to the UKVCAS biometrics appointment, they said the national passport upload is not really required, and you can upload the UK Travel Document instead. So in the end it didn't really matter.

Hello, there I've got some doubts about ILR which I will apply next month for me and family.

1) Do I need a travel document for apply? I always was scared to travel and this could cause any problems for time to apply for ILR so I never bother to ask for a travel document for me and any family member. ( Home Office gave me my home-country passport after my case was approved so I have this but is expired)

2) when we were granted with Refugee Status we got just 1 child but last years our second child was born, so can my second child apply in the same application or there is something else to do for him?

3) I've seen people talking about "overstaying period" and then they get ban for 10 years to apply for citizenship, does anyone knows what is this?

4) while im waiting for ILR can I work or claim any benefits? as people still tell me I can't work as my visa will be expired and obs can claim any benefits as we will be in "limbo" until get an answer for our decisions.

Sorry for long message I'm just really worry about all this.

Thank you

Yes Jesse8
Better to speak with your local MP and explain your circumstances who will make the process more quick.
Thanks

Just a quick update on my case

I applied online on 16-May

Yesterday I received an email to book an appointment, and I booked one on 11-July at Croydon Core Centre.

I was surprised the appointment is for £330. This is not a premium lounge or anything. Just standard appointment. I did not find any free appointments whatsoever, even at other UKVCAS locations? Did anyone managed to find free appointments?

I attended the appointment already and now waiting for a decision. It was a paid appointment (not free). Other people replied to my query above saying they paid for the appointment too, so I'm assuming there are no free appointments or they are rare to find.

Hi All,

Hope you are all well.

I just noticed that when submitting my application, I recorded my son's birth year incorrectly. I recorded 2020, instead of the actual year that he was born in.

Any suggestion or advice please, how can I inform the Home Office of this error and get the correction made? Any email or postal address where I can send the information to.

I am not seeing the option to re-submit the application and I am afraid re-submitting the application may jeopardise the process as my leave to remain has already expired.

Kind regards,
