Category: SET(O), 5 years on Tier 2
No dependents
Total Cost: 2887
Croydon PEO
Docs:
1. application+appointment time+payment+2photos
2. passport(1) + current BRP
3. Employer letter from HR stating salary, SOC code, services needed until so and so date (HR was unwilling to put open ended contract end dates)
4. Letter from head with absences since start of employment (5 years 3 months)
5. A very general letter from payroll stating that whatever emplyee presents as payslips is authentic
6 6 months payslips (stamped and signed as well just to be on safe side)
7 6 months bank statements (last few months were just print and stamped at branch)
8. LIUK
9. UK degree
10. first Tier 2 visa approval letter
11. copy of BRP issued 5 years ago
I didn't include any cover letter.
Docs returned were: 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10
They kept original and photocopies of the three letters from the employer, and kept photocopies of LIUK, degree, BRP (from 5 years ago) and passport. (Might give an indication as to what the important docs are)
BRP received: 30/04/2018

Yes I had attached these both for the entire maternity period alongwith one month before and after maternity.tamoni wrote: ↑Tue Jun 26, 2018 8:28 pmCongrats anujkundarap on ur successful application! Just a quick question, could u pls specify for what period have u provided bank statements? Basically I’m in a similar situation, have pretty much all payslips covering last 2 years, including the time I was on maternity. I am planning to provide bank statements (1 month before maternity, 1 month after, when I returned to work) and last 6 months before application and have a question. Did u provide payslips and bank statements for the months u stayed on maternity as well?

Hi Echoes, Sorry I couldn't find the form filling related post, could you please advise what to write on payment details on form if I had already paid for PSC along with application form. Many thanks.

Hi CR001,
Not as an advice but what do you think about the cover letter as below, the wording and the flow. Do you have any suggestions, please?
Starts here
Dear Sir/Madam,
Applicant: Name, DOB and Country
Dependant: Name, DOB, Country
I wish to make an application for Indefinite leave to remain under the policy of Discretionary Leave to Remain outside the immigration rules followed by the qualifying period of 6 years.
I had applied for the further leave to remain before July 2012 but was refused then I appealed to the first-tier tribunal and eventually DLR was granted.
The first Discretionary leave to remain outside immigration rules was granted from 17/08/2012 till 17/08/2018.
The extension was done on time and was granted further DLR from 28/09/2015 till 28/09/2018.
So, as per the Chapter 8: 3.4 of Transitional Provision (page 11 attached) I become eligible to apply for ILR after completing 6 years period which will be accrued on 17/08/2018.
So, I am submitting this application in 22 days before completing a total of 6 years.
Knowledge of Language (KoLL exemption): As per the Home Office document “Knowledge of language and life in the UK”, Version 20.0, published on 28th March 2018, page 5 (attached) indicates we are exempted from proving the knowledge of the language.
I believe we have established our private life and built ties with the United Kingdom. So, I would also like to request the Secretary of state to exercise the policy of “best interest of a child” along with the rule regarding Discretionary Leave to Remain before making the decision.
In support of my application, please find enclosed documents.

Yours faithfully
Ends here.

Thanks a lot to @CR001 and @CMOSUK for general information and all the users/poster who posted their stories to encourage and not to stress out.
I know as my case was totally different and couldn't find anything here relevant to it, however, basic things helped me like PSC appointment, payments, Koll and transitional provisions. I asked for help here about the cover letter, posting a draft, But the draft itself worked well. Thank you again.
All the best to all who are going for it, Time is coming for you, guys.
