They didn't check anything except of passports, even old one passport wasn't scanned/checked by them
The best approach is to take all “originals” with you. Incase there is a poor scan and the staff needs to redo the scan it will help. They do not check that though. Only mandatory original document is the passport.
No one really knows that for sure. You will be updated after 10th Aug about the next steps/invitation to book an appointment.bhavanisingireddy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 4:08 pmHi

they didnt give us a choice of opting-out and book an appointment after i waited for 4 months since April 1.lucifer10896 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 12:58 pmwhat i am getting is the applicants who applied in April -May ,are they forced to go with bio metric reuse option automatically?Whizart wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 12:45 pmI feel your pain. I am in the same boat as you. Applied in May and still stuck in their "few weeks" matrix. Don't get me wrong I am happy for the applicants that applied in June and have received their decision already, BUT it is so unfair for Mar/April/May applicants. They've literally punished us by putting us in the re-use category without our consent. (Whatever happened to their claim they made before about considering applications submitted from the earliest date to most recent) Unfair Management and an absolute joke of a system!Carrington1234 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 11:33 amthis is just so unfair.. i just cant believe they are doing this to march and april applicants.
applied online - April 1
received "eligible for biometrics reuse" email on July 4.
clicked submit documents button on July 13![]()
received IDV app eligibility on August 3
saying "wait for few weeks"
i have applied on April yet i have seen June applicants receiving approval email.
The mail u got didn't gave you choice OPT OUT?
Have you received an email about the app, or u opt out, and u booked appointment?ps1234 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 11:01 amHi all,
quick update - we had our biometrics appointment last week and just now received the ILR approval email. BRPs have been dispatched and should be with us within 10 days!
This was super quick - I was prepared to wait for the 6-month timeline in the Standard application process. Application mid June and decision Early August in the Coronavirus hit times isnt bad at all.
All the best to everyone, especially the ones waiting for Biometric reuse.

Hi, My friend is in the same category and he contacted UKVI regarding the issue. They said he could proceed with the application with an expired passport however provide a letter or evidence that passport renewal is not currently possible/difficult, as well as give a brief explanation why in the "further information" bit or append a letter. Hope this helps. I suggest ringing them to confirm tooJULY APPLICANT wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 5:10 pmI'm little worried my Passport is expiring in early September, I'm thinking of opting out from the reuse scheme and get an appointment as early as possible but I'm not sure how far I will succeed.
Can someone spare a thought on what happens if I attend the Biometric appointment either with the expired passport or with a renewed passport (if I'm lucky enough to get it renewed quickly). Would it be okay if the passport is renewed while the application is under consideration?![]()
July applicants have reported receiving emails either to book an appointment who are chosen to attend biometrics OR receiving an email for the biometrics reuse.
Thank youBloodofGod123 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 7:02 pmHi, My friend is in the same category and he contacted UKVI regarding the issue. Thanks Cullinan, much appreciate this..very useful...CULLINAN wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 7:17 pmJuly applicants have reported receiving emails either to book an appointment who are chosen to attend biometrics OR receiving an email for the biometrics reuse.
Those who have reported to receive “reuse email”, have also reported an option of opting out by 10Aug 5pm.
The ones who opt-out will be sent emails to book an appointment after 10th Aug.
You should check your email for updates.
PS The above all happened even without an official update on UKVCAS website.
The best approach is to upload your documents and submit to UKVI via the new “submit button” featured on 10th July.n8net wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 9:08 pmThanks Cullinan, much appreciate this..very useful...CULLINAN wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 7:17 pmJuly applicants have reported receiving emails either to book an appointment who are chosen to attend biometrics OR receiving an email for the biometrics reuse.

I applied for my wife on the 15th July, no correspndece from UKVI, I have not uploaded any docs as well.
People who hv applied after 15th July got emails as well ?
I also now can understand why people are opting-out for the fear of delays...but opting in mean we still have to pay for the appointment ? thought it was included in the original application cost of £2408..
Thats a new thing reported. Good news. Lets see if more members report the same thing.kuultechy29 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 9:24 pmUpdate:
My timeline: ILR long residence application on 23rd Apr 2020.
Reuse email: 4th July
Opt Out email: 2nd Aug, replied “Opt Out” same day.
My solicitor just happened to login to check for appointments now and she got one at London Mark Lane for 10th Aug which she booked.
She said it might be a cancellation as there was no other appointments available.
Thanks
I have submitted ILRset(M) on 14th julyDesiro wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 5:07 pmWhen did you submit your application?bhavanisingireddy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 4:08 pmHi

The invitations to book appointments for the ones who opt-out were meant to be sent after 10th Aug.
Can the members who opted out log in to check the same??
