@i2siss
I am in Leeds and I have just seen that there are locations in Leeds, Wakefield and Manchester. The thing is I do not want to submit my application and then get stuck because once the application is submitted the applicant cannot travel abroad!!! Would a 10 days be a reasonable time?
You will not be able to book an appointment right away. You will have to wait for official UKVCAS updates till system opens up for you. How long will that take? No one knows but most likely not too long as the biometrics backlog has almost subsided.

@MrAal
Hi, yes I did check, and it’s shows no appointment. How are you so sure that system is open? Am I missing something?
As per many reports on this forum.

best of luck to you! please keep us posted. have you done your idv app as well? i did mine but i still book in person appointment on friday.
Are appointments easily obtained? Within one week!?
Yes, but largely depends on the location you choose. Appointments were available next day at Lansdowne road, Croydon

Yes I think they are but it depends on the location. As per last Thursday, there were even next day appointments but usually with a fee £110, £121.5 or £135. If you are lucky you get one for £69.

Hint: If someone who is eligible to apply and is planning to apply very soon in the next 2/3 days, I would say try to apply before 15th Sep. Previous pattern shows there might be a biometrics date cut off for applications made before 15th Sep. You may save some wasted time for biometrics turn in this case.
What is the previous pattern?
UKVCAS opened up in phases and there have been date cut offs in the past. I believe there will be a date cut off before 15th Sep. It is only my calculated prediction but I could be wrong.

Oh yes you are right CULLINAN. Sorry I have not seen that they need to apply. It is entirely up to you i2siss whether to apply or not. It is like gambling really. It might take few days, weeks or months for the decision to be made.

Has anyone seen any application in July who's got the decision by now solely using IDV app (no in-person appointment)?
I don't think May applicants who used the app have received the decision yet let alone July.

Hi, is there anyone who has applied for 10 year long residence in july and submitted biometrics in august and have received the decisions?

I'd be thankful for your input.
Looks like only a few people applied through set LR as unable to find through any forum whether the queue is moving forward or not?

Thankyou.

The second point to note is that, while I agree every case is different, judging by the timeline thread and this thread it seems at least 80% of cases have 'quick decisions' (7 days or less). We've all forked out the same £2.4k application fee plus whatever other appointment fees UKVI has milked from us. So there should be some level of fairness in decision times.
I just wanted to say (in case it can help anyone) that I was also relying on the information in the timeline thread where it seems like 75% of ILR applications get a decision within 4 working days from in person bio.
Just anecdotal evidence, I have noticed the same, but I think that what I see about the majority of super quick turnarounds is for Tier 2 -> Set(O) ILR and Tier 2 related stuff in general. I have a feeling they're trying to process those kinds of applications faster than anything else because it is hurting people's chances at getting jobs and stuff like that. That's my 2 pence.

Hello Guys

I have applied for ILR SET(O) Tier 2 Gen on 1st July and submitted all documents subsequently when I got the submit button available.
Opted out of IDV App on 7th Aug and Booked an In person Bio metric appointment on 28th August and submitted bio metrics. Since then I don't see any update on my application.

Don't know if there is something I can do?

Any July applicant here still waiting for the decision.

Good Luck everyone.

Hi all,
Anyone else applied in April and submitted documents/biometrics via IDV app and still waiting for the decision?
I applied on the 1st of April :(
1st Apr as well. However my type is FLR. I submitted IDV pic on 21st Aug and went for an in-person one as well on 11th Sep. I did all I could do and can only hope for the best...
Update on my case, if anyone is interested. Timeline posted in FLR(M) topic. I booked the next-day appointment after seeing @shahkb's record-breaking approval after in-person submission on 10th Sept. Attended the appointment at Cardiff Library 930am 11th Sept. Got decision just now! The right-to-work website is updated promptly but the pic remain the same, so might be that my case is due anyway? Either or, my 5.5 months' wait is finally over!!!

Question: will UKVI email the BRP delivery information to me? I submitted address change form to UKVI in August but still worry if they will actually ship it to my new address.

I have just received an approval of my application today after attending an in person appointment and my picture on the site is still the old picture, although the status has been updated. So this probably doesn't have any relevance.

I think the selfie , liveliness and travel document submission on IDV app is for verification only. Biometric reuse - means the old photos and finger prints are being reused. So the picture on right to work and BRP should remain same for IDV only applicants and changed with new one for the in person attendees at UKVCAS centres.
Bottom line - We can not make any conclusions from the BRP/ right to work photo

It is very clear with the evidence reported that submitting biometrics via IDV app or UKVCAS appointment has no connection with the decision pace.

Please can anyone help me check appointments for Manchester? I applied Set O ILR on 6 April via Solicitor. App was opened for me on 3rd September but Solicitor insists I have to come to the office to do facial ID on the app tomorrow. I plan to ask for physical biometric as well in case this will help with a faster decision. Many thanks.

I am also Tier 2 General , 3rd of July applicant. Emailed documents to case work team early July. IDV biometric access granted on 4th , done on same day. Still waiting for any response.
Case worker requested documents within four days of application. Theoretically , it should be oven ready case. But no output yet. You cannot read the case worker’s mind 😟
