Yes we received email today and we booked for 3rd July for free (we had registered and submitted our application on 26th March). There were lots of £220 appointments available from next week. Earliest free appointment was 2nd July, each day had one-two free appointment and so many £220 appointments.
hey ,What is £220 Appointment's means ? Each applicant has to pay £220 ?Which service this is pls ?
UKVCAS offer both paid and free appointments. From 22nd June they will revert back to the normal paid appointments also. Most likely, paid appointments will be earlier dates. Note do not confuse UKVI super priority with UKVCAS paid appointments. UKVCAS paid appointments are just to submit biometrics for example more expensive appointments slots on weekends or next day slots etc.
OKAY ..I see ,So if some is booking Super priority service they have to book £800 +£220 to get earlier slots ..However priority is not open yet but In normal days ..

Good to know this .
In normal days the price of paid appointments varied between different centres. For example more for premium lounge and lesser for enhanced centres.
Note UKVCAS has nothing to do with super priority. It is totally Home Office’s decision when to start offering that again.
Yes if things were normal and super priority (24 hr service by UKVI) was allowed, one would pay £800 plus for the paid UKVCAS appointment for biometrics (earlier appointments or weekend appointments etc).

FYI, all.

TIER 2 General 5 years + 2 dependents - Priority Service
Actual date Biometrics Enrolled: 16/06/2020 (original appointment 02/04/2020)
Approval Received: Email 18/06/2020

No emails from UKVI to company about reduced salary or furlough status.
Hi bmnikhil,
Congratulations on your approval.
I would like to know when you apply for settlement what category were you on and were you furloughed when you applied and does the payslip show correct amount or furloughed salary?
Thank you very much.
Thank you, Nilang.
I was on Tier 2 General visa, 5 year route for ILR. I applied on 27th March, right before all the covid related mess. My salary statements submitted are from Feb 2020. I'm now down to 80% (not furloughed), but that does not reflect in my application.

Just to update: I have applied for my naturalisation application today 22/6. As expected, I am unable to book a biometrics appointment for now. Lets see when UKVCAS allows me to do that. The UKVCAS email received states they are giving preference to the ones before the suspension of the service. However, it allowed me to register the account on UKVCAS and upload documents as normal.
Will update once I will be able to book an appointment.

As far as I know, UKVCAS has never limited account creation. Only appointments remain unavailable

Any idea how long ukvcas would take to give appointments for the people who registered in June considering 9 more centres opening on 6th July and 7 more till 20th July?

i can only assume based on the order of registrations. You may have to wait until they give a chance for people that registered in the last week of March, entire month of April & May before they come to June. My assumption is this could take a month or two atleast before they clear all backlogs. By September / October things should get back to normal.

Again another 3 months backlog(june -sept) will Join -This will never end .

Considering april and may appointments were cleared (atleast giving appointments) in 22 days starting from 1st June.
With more new centres opening in coming weeks I am assuming that by end of July atleast giving appointments backlog will be cleared.
By Mid Aug or Aug end things should be back to normal.

This is just based on my assumption considering the way they have worked since 1st June till 22nd June

From June 1st to 21st they opened appointments only for people that previously had appointment that were cancelled or rescheduled due to COVID. Now they are giving appointments for people that registered before they closed the centres (march 27th) but did not have appointments.

Once you have submitted your UKVI application online, it will automatically register you to UKVCAS. You can't register separatley. Also, people were able to apply standard applications. That means they were also able to register on UKVCAS as well.

Sorry I am as desperate as you are but how did you calculate the april/may is gonna be done in 22 days? there are people registered before 3/27 are only getting an appointment on 3rd July. i think this is too optimistic

Thank you for your response. Sorry for being naive here, do you still need to give Biometrics in UKVCAS even if you applied ILR in standard route ?

Yes. Everyone applying, regardless of visa route or service, has to enroll biometrics at UKCVAS.

People who booked appointment in Apr and May, this was cleared (by giving appointments) by 22nd June (22 days).

I don’t think there would be a huge number who have registered before 27th March and didn’t book an appointment(very few would do that, only if there is any specific reason of not booking an appointment even after registering). For these cases they have sent out email on 21/22 June (earliest free appointment available was 2nd July and many paid ones were available, as per a previous post on this forum) to book an appointment.

Now its the backlog remaining for Apr, May and June new appointments, in this case as well few are waiting for priority services to resume.
Previously booked Appointments for Apr and May were cleared in 22 days starting from 1st June with 12 centres open.
As per UKVCAS website info, On 22nd 4 centres are added, 06th July 9 centres will be added, 20th July 7 centres will be added. In this case the backlog will surely speed up for Apr, May, Jun to book new appointments.

Please note, this is purely on my assumptions. And yes I am being optimistic 🤞🏻🙂

May I ask if you are taking the standard route or waiting for the priority / sp?

We did not wait for super priority service to resume and did apply through standard service in May although we would have definitely gone for super priority service if it was available at that time. I think when Home office resumes super priority service, in fairness, they should give an option to people who have already applied through Standard service to upgrade it to Super priority if they want. Then only they should open super priority service for fresh new applications. This is currently not a feature they offer but I think Covid 19 has re-defined all normals and hence it will not be surprising to see if Home office comes up with this approach. Otherwise, it will be so unfair for people like us who did not have a choice at the time of making an application.

Thanks

Hi all,

This is a very stupid question and apprecisate your patience and help in advance. I am going to submit my application in July and I hope appointments will become available to new applicants at that time.

I have read through some replies and people are saying we can create a UKVCAS account anytime. I looked through their website and I don't think I can create an account now. I am assuming I will get a link to UKVCAS after I submit and pay for my application? At that stage, I will create an account and look for an appointment slot? Can someone kindly explain the steps?

Thank you! :)
