It really is for me the worst part has been the silence from UKVI however we have got to persevere in other to triumph.

My brp is with TNT and the driver was stupid enough to go to wrong address, then says I wasnt at home. I am wondering if i can get it delivered on my work instead, and how long it will take HO to approve such request. Or if i can pickup the brp from TNT delivery depot?

A more niche question to you.
How long did it take HO to clear out June applications?
It will be interesting to see this trend for July as well when HO move on to August applications.
This will tell us if HO are catching up or mainitaining the 3-4 months lag between application submission to decision
So a caveat with this answer is that the number of June Set (LR) applicants (10 applicants) who have posted on this forum is significantly less than July applicants who have done the same (33 applicants). So the data and subsequent interpretation will be skewed.

Now, that's out the way, so based on what has been posted on this forum for Set (LR):
  • June applications: Average time to decision = 105.2 days. Time taken to clear June applications = 16 days. 1 outlier in the data = Applied on 27th June and received decision on 4th September, taking only 69 days.
  • July applications (latest processed application applied on 27th July): Average time to decision = 90.2 days. Time taken to clear July applications = Pending. 2 outliers in the data, taking 67 days and 42 days (this one was escalated due to family medical emergency).
So there is marked downward trend even with the data skew, which I hope continues :D Handy graph of Set (LR) applications below for reference (includes all applications since March).

Set(LR) Decisions Graph.jpg
Its really great @ajitu92. It helps to decode how UKVI is processing LR cases. Well done!
Thank you @gyanp. It might not be much (at least in the way of a big enough dataset) but does help at least a little, I feel

Try to get it delivered to your home address asap. Changing address can be a nightmare given recent times.

Could you please clarify from what email address was that confirmation email sent? Did it confirm your change request had been received or it confirmed your request had been processed and updated? I filled out the change of address form online and got an auto-reply email immediately from COATSubmissions@homeoffice.gov.uk acknowledging receipt of my change request and that they will update the record in 3 working days.
I am still waiting for my decision and this has been a long wait. I really worry that the painful wait will continue if the brp is not delivered within reasonable time.

Hi All,
I have submitted my application for Tier 2 ICT (Visa extension) from the UK today (21/10)
I can see appointments only for 16/11 , 17/11/ - so planning to try my luck mid-night.
However the UKVCAS site says there are services for
-same day appointment
-next day appointment

I was wondering if these services are still available, i am yet to call them - planning 9AM tomorrow but this thought of 'what if there is next day appointment is confusing me if I should go ahead and book a slot should i get it mid-night.

Any thoughts or pointers ?

You can only book standard UKVI service (SP is suspended) for now. UKVCAS biometrics same day/next day is based on availability only also. Usually this happens only when you pay hefty amount for premium lounges if available. Note, UKVCAS biometrics appointment has no relation to your decision pace.

Thanks CULLINAN ! Am i right in interpreting that if there are no slots visible when i see UKVCAS online (premium lounge centers) today then there wont be anything there for next day appointment as well when i call them or do they have some slots out of view for this service :).

Also I assumed that UKVI looks at the application only post Bio-metrics appointment so sooner it is forwarded the earlier i can receive the decision - is this not fully right ? Would be helpful to understand more on your point of bio-metrics not affecting decision pace.

@armor_king

Basically all I wanted was that you do not confuse the “UKVI SP service” VS “UKVCAS premium lounge appointments.” If you can not see any availability via the booking system, then there is none available. You will only waste your time, energy and money calling UKVCAS as they cant help it.

The best approach for now is to submit your documents to UKVI via UKVCAS self-submission even before biometrics.

It is known that UKVI does some kind of interim processing of applications even before biometrics when the documents are self-submitted.

Can not comment if that will happen for sure or not but thats the best you can do at your end.

Hi All

I wanted to ask if people can share their timeline for a tier 2 general visa extension especially for their dependents.

My timeline is
application submitted- 14th September 2020
Biometrics completed - 7th Oct 2020
Decision pending -

A friend of mine applied in may for his wife's visa extension and he still hasn't got the decision yet. It would be good to know others are in same boat or if you are getting a decision fairly quickly.

Regards
fahad

This is not a timeline topic, especially not for tier 2 as it is in the ILR sub forum. It is for biometric queries and experience only.

Hello all,
Just wanted to update that I have received my approval today for SET LR application. The timeline has also been updated.
Thank you, everyone, for guidance. I very much hope and pray that you hear soon about the outcome of your application.
My view for people who are still waiting. I think 90-100 days is an average I believe for SET LR application outcome (I think for most cases). In my case, it took 93 days as I could see a similar trend by looking at the timeline page.
A couple of questions.
1- I would like to ask a question since I am married to a British citizen, can I apply for BC straight away, I mean within this week? Or do I have to first wait for Biometric card to arrive then apply for BC?
2- Also, I would like to know I recently (1st October) updated my address on HO website, will BRP will come at my older address (the one I used on my SET LR) application) or new address?
Thank you so much!

1) Best to wait for BRP and apply then. Please keep all future BC questions in the BC forum.

2) Best to keep a contact at your old address also. Call TNT and check what address they hold for you and ask about the delievery estimate.

Anyone knows what update Home Office usually provides to MPs in 20 working days once concerns are raised by them to Home Office? I am on 20th working day today since raising it with my MP. Thanks

Hi debrancherenzym, in our case when we queried the status of an FLR (M) application after ~6 months, our MP advised us that the decision had been made, no more than that. We got the HO update a couple of days later. Hopefully that helps

Thanks for your response, how long did it take for your MP to receive an update from UKVI?

@Maazkay09

You cannot apply/submit the application now/before you receive your BRP as you need the BRP number and the expiry date to fill the application form for Naturalisation. I would suggest for you to start filling the application, sign the 2 reference letters and gather referees details needed in the application and you can submit straight after you receive your BRP.

I have finally received my BRP today. Thank a lot to Cullinan for guiding me through the process. this forum has been extremely helpful. Thanks again.

Just 1 quick question - my BRP does not have my NINO on it . Is that expected ?

ILR brp cards don't have your NI number on. It is specific only to tier 2 visas.
