Applied for ILR Route : SET (O) Tier 2 + 1 Dependent
Date application Submitted Online: 30 July
Email for biometric reuse: 05 August
IDV app Invitation: 04 Sept
Document submission and liveliness check via IDV app : 04 Sept
UKVI Delay Notice: 08 Sep
Decision Email received: 03 Nov
BRP Card Received: waiting
Is it possible to know how long would it take to get BRP ?
I have not received any tracking information - is it possible to get that ?
What happens if no one is at home when the delivery takes place ?

Sorry for so many questions... :|
Can someone please advise on above post regarding BRP ?
Its pretty much depending on your location. You have just got approval on 03 Nov and it would take a couple of day for the BRP to be produced and assigned to TNT - at this point that UKVI can advise you the tracking number. Probably be patient and wait until Monday.

If after a week and you havent got tracking number email from UKVI, ring TNT HMPO team - this is special team for UKVI, not the normal TNT customer service team, so they will have a separate telephone line. Its quite hard to get hold of them and I'm not sure if they are allowed to tell you your tracking number via phone, but this is the only way to try. The normal TNT CS team do not have access to UKVI consignments so they cant advise anything.

Once you obtain the tracking number from either UKVI or TNT, the tracking portal will tell you exactly what date they will deliver so its better to be at home on that day or ask someone to come and wait for it if you have to step out, because they would not require ID or signature.

Hope it helps!

Doing some research shows these UKVI survey’s are only sent AFTER a decision is made. @Kittycatkeeb’s experience also confirms this plus a number of more experience’s shared on the forum. There are many cases reported where UKVI has failed to push decision emails (both in ILR and BC forum) or they are just not pushed due to technical errors.

When I receive a decision, I will confirm if the decision was made prior to 6th Nov (when I received the survey). That should clarify it more for readers.
Received ILR successful email from HO Atlas in the first week of October
Survey email received on 6th November afternoon

Has any ILR applicant received UKVI surveys? Was it after approval? If before approval.. what was the date on your approval letter?

@kittycatkeeb’s experience makes me wonder a decision is usually made before a survey is sent out.
Hi

I got my ilr approval on 16th Sep and got email for survey on 13th Oct.
Hope this will help.

Users mentioning on Twitter that they turned up for their appointment today at a couple of centres and no staff were at the service point, that is really sad

Yeah I also saw a few tweets saying that they arrived at Victoria service point and was told that no one was working there today. That’s really bad!

Don’t know exactly why, but the applicants should’ve been informed about it, some might’ve traveled a fair distance

Hello everyone,
I am about to submit my ILR application and have been trying to find what is the process after submit with the background of Covid?
  • So, if I understand correctly priority and super-priority routes are suspended? - so this mean waiting time could be months!
  • What are the next steps once I submit the application and do the paymnet? Book an appointment with UKVCAS for biometrics?
  • What is the IDV app? Is it only used for uploading documents or also for biometrics?
Apologies for the questions. I am waiting for my employer to give me the required letter and in the meantime cannot stop myself from worrying and overthinking.
Cheers!

Correct. Suspended for the foreseeable future.

No more IDV. You will have to book an appointment as mentioned above, and use the UKVCAS online portal to self-upload documents.

mumofmini applied under Set LR. Is your Set O? Each route has different timelines.
You need to check the timeline thread depending on your route to ILR
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

@shubh17, yes. Approval mail received on 6th November. Ours is SET(LR) though, not sure of your partner's route and you may have to check the relevant timeline thread for a reasonable expectation of turn around time.

Thank you. I have submitted the application. But, there are no appointments in any of the nearer (~25-35 miles) of my city, I have checked 5. Only ones available are the premium ones in London or Birmingham. Is this normal at the moment? Do I have to check for new appointments everyday?

What happens with the documents upload till then? Wouldn't all the documents not - as in they have to dated within 1 month of the application.

Thank you

Only ones available are the premium ones in London or Birmingham. Is this normal at the moment? Do I have to check for new appointments everyday? Yes, it's normal. You need to check all centres not just the ones near you. Cancellations will be updated as free slots in real time. New appointments are released at 12am everyday for current date + 28 days (i.e. the 28th day from the current date will become available at 12am everyday).

What happens with the documents upload till then? Wouldn't all the documents not - as in they have to dated within 1 month of the application. Exactly, within 1 month of date of application i.e. the the date you submit your form and pay on UKVI. Your biometrics date is irrelevant in this regard. You need to upload your documents through UKVCAS up to 48 hours before your appointment. Unless you select an enhanced service centre in which case you may choose to let them upload the documents for you. It is highly recommended that you upload your documents yourself anyway, and make use of the self submission feature. BEWARE though, that you can only press "Submit" ONCE. So make sure that you double, triple, quadruple check all your documents if you choose to go down that route.

Thank you

Adding on: You can still upload more documents after you self-submit ONCE (in case missing documents etc). Any extra documents uploaded after self-submission can still be submitted at the appointment then.

Thank you guys,

Documents wise everything should be ok. But getting an appointment seems like a big headache! I was hoping to not take my 2.5 year old for appointment, leave him at nursery in morning, go to a nearby (~30 miles) appointment center, complete the appointment and be back at nursery in time. This wont be possible with appointment at Birmingham or London (~60 miles). And I cant imagine taking my son along, focus on the application while trying to entertain him (he is a wild toddler) and stay covid safe (he licks everything that crosses his path)!

I will try for next few days and may be I can find an appointment nearby...

Try 12AM midnight Tuesday onwards. If you check tonight you will get a slot for Saturday 5th Dec which is paid anyways plus less availability on Saturday and Sunday(mostly all centres are closed except a few). Check Tuesday 10th Nov 12:01 AM GMT. You should get one for Monday 7th Dec nearby or earlier (if any cancellations and you are lucky). Keep looking regularly for any cancellations before Tuesday.

Is it possible to reschedule appointment? Say if I book an appointment in London/Birmingham and keep checking for cancellations regularly and if something can be found nearer - I change the appointment.

All the nearby centers are enhanced centers, which would include scanning services. What would be recommended - self upload of documents or use their service?

How is the premium lounges like - they are charging £498 - outrageous but might be the only option.

You can not view availability after you book an appointment unless you cancel it first.

Enhanced centres have scanning service included, however, I would recommend you upload on your own and self-submit.

Premium lounges only have sofas/coffee, nothing else fancy. The service is the same.

Hi guys I have two questions regarding my situation. So background, I have been granted my visa by the HO in October after applying back in May, however I am still facing nightmares.

1) I moved to a different house 1 week before my visa was granted so I used the HO's address change to to inform them of the change a week before. Despite this they delivered my BRP to the old address and did not even give me a tracking number from TNT express. I only knew it was delivered to my old address when I went to collect my letters from the current tenant and she told me someone wanted her to sign for a package on my name but she had to refuse it as I don't live there anymore. So I called TNT and they were like we will contact HO and will have to confirm that I had changed to my current address for redelivery. AND HO would take at least 20 days to respond!!! So if anyone of you have gone through this situation and how you dealt with this please let me know.

2) now my previous BRP has already been expired and my employer is asking for BRP of my new visa for proof of work! Obviously due this whole delivery fiasco I cannot give them the BRP copy yet. So what should I do in this case?

@daenyt

1) The best was to get it redelivered to your old address and coordinate with the tenant there. However, you will have to be patient now. BRP replacements/redelivery can take long. You should follow the following topic and keep your BRP related questions there. You probably will get better guidance in the following topic:
general-uk-immigration-forum/brp-card-n ... 07203.html

2) The best you can do is to provide your employer with your UAN. They can run a check on your status via ECS.

Hi all ,

I have applied to ILR 10 years route on 13/10. But today I received the following email.

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your application for permission to stay in the UK.

We apologise for the inconvenience, however, due to the worldwide response to COVID-19, UKVI services are currently limited and we are not able to meet our usual service standards.

Although we would normally decide your application within eight weeks from the date it was submitted, unfortunately this is may not be possible in your case.

As global travel and public health restrictions begin to lift following coronavirus, Visa Application Centres (VACs) and UK Visa and Citizenship Application Centres (UKVCAS) are resuming services where local restrictions allow, it is safe, and both customers and staff are protected.

It came with a tittle Tier 2 application update. have anyone got the same E-mail? Apparently, ILR should not be dealt with eight weeks but the reference number is correct. Is it just ukvi system error or this can be a complicated case notice but the case worker just found a wrong template! This is so confusing.
