Hi guys

Tomorrow will be exactly 12 weeks since I submitted my FLR(M) application (19th August) - is it worth emailing my MP to chase it up yet or should I wait a bit?

Any advice is much appreciated :)
Contact the HO first and wait before involving MP.
Thanks @CULLINAN - I already escalated with the HO over 10 working days ago and nothing happened (despite assurances I would receive a response within 10 working days).

Should I still give it a bit longer then?
Best to hold your MP card a little longer otherwise you may just get a generic response.

Have we had any SET(M)s that went over 6 months? as I have a feeling my application might.

For me 6 months will be 22nd Dec but when back in July my employer did the right to work check, Home office told them that it has been extended till 23rd Jan 2021 :?:
Are you talking about ECS check? ECS is valid for 6 months before employer needs to do it again.
this was my central HR confirming the following on 28th July:

I can confirm that we have received confirmation from the Employer Checking Service regarding your Visa that this has been extended for a further 6 months. Your Visa expires on 23.01.21.

@debrancherenzym

So far set(M) reported in this forum and fb, there was someone who applied on 11/04/20 and got approval on 12/10/20 (6 months and 1 day) and there was another one applied on 03/05/20 and got approval on 03/11/20 (exactly 6 months). I have only seen these two in this category. There might be few now waiting since March/April/May that we are not probably aware of but according to my set(m) data I could only see the above mentioned.

That is what I said, ECS is valid for 6 months. So an ECS check was done in July. Your processing standard time is 6 months counting from June. If it goes over that and past the ECS deadline, your employer will need to run ECS again which will be valid for another 6 months.

Hi,

I am a silent reader here. My Set m is now over 7 months and have utilised all escalation procedures. Just completely lost. I applied on the 6th of April, IDV app done on the 22nd August.

Did you involve MP also? Are you only getting generic responses?

Does anyone know why set M ILR are taking much longer than set O? Looking at timelines I can see set O is taking 2 or 3 months vs set M will take around 4 to 5 months?

No one can really answer this for certain. It could be number of applications/priorities for different categories or staff shortages in one department than other. No one knows.

I have contacted Mp and on my behalf contacted with head of immigration home office on the 23rd October. All I have received so far is an email on the 30th October, going on about people that used the app are in queue to for their ID to be reinjected into the system. Don’t sure if it’s generic or not

Unfortunately, there is not much you can do other than waiting patiently now.

Their messaging needs to be consistent. There was nothing about visa dates on the one sent to my office's HR manager which she kindly shared with me. It says "This person has the right to work subject to the restrictions in section 4" and in section 4 it says "None".

Flash message updated today...

https://www.ukvcas.co.uk/flash-message- ... geId=56249

Looks like they are not opening a few centres this week as previously mentioned 😭. Sent a DM on Twitter and they couldn't confirm any date, which is disappointing.

I guess you were looking for a particular new opening closer to you?

That's right. Few paid slots were there yesterday night for other centres but didn't opt hoping new centre will open up this week.

I'll book something tonight if any available.

Btw, if new centre opens up I'm guessing the paid slots too would be at a cheaper price?

@srsw
It is always best to keep checking regularly for 1-2 days for any cancellations before you book an appointment. You maybe lucky to find an earlier slot. If you look tonight, you will get something for around 9th Dec but then you can not view the availability for cancellations (if any).

👋 good people. Been a silent reader on this forum, which has been helpful. My turn to share my update:

Applied for ILR route: Set M
Type of application: Standard
Date application submitted: 09/06/2020
Payment debited: 09/06/2020
Invitation to use the new UKVCAS IDV app: 28/08/2020
Biometrics using IDV: 28/08/2020
In-Person biometric enrolment: 24/09/2020
Decision letter received: 09/11/2020
BRP card received: Waiting

Good luck to all. My view is trends are all over the place and what we see here is only a small fraction of total applications. Clearly some of us have had a hard time as a result of waiting, and others not so much affected. Groups like this honestly gives everyone a good moral support and I'd like to thank everyone's contributions. Peace out!

Yeah, I've been checking but haven't found any cancellation since yesterday. Hopefully I'll find a cancellation before I book it.
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

I have received my ILR card today. Appreciate everybody on this forum, especially, CR001, Zimba, Cullinan and everybody for helping me out. I shall see you guys next year on BC forum.

I hope everyone waiting for the decision will get their approvals soon.
