I agree, the focus was put back to Aug/Set Set(O) applicants especially IDV only users. However, they are still reviewing October applicants (e.g. fb user SET(O) Ancestry applied on 11/10/20 having in person appoint on 06/11/20 who got approval on 10/11/20).
Set O T2Gen physical bio are surely in hold or slow track. Had few friends who got the decision under a week before half term. Not the same pace post it unfortunately

@navkant, probably the first time I am seeing the SET(O/M) timeline thread not being updated for the whole day.
I hope its just an off day and we'll begin to see decisions from next week
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

Yeah. As long as some other categories are moving, it's all good. I know people have waited longer than me and hence being patient (Oct Set O). Eventually HO needs to catch up across all categories. Else, it's going to be another long wait again for some during BC application.

BC forum approvals reported are also dead for the last 3 days. Not sure if overall HO operations are affected or not.

Hi , I am a silent reader of this forum. I got t2 dependant + 1 child visa approval yesterday, all the timelines are updated in the in-country timelines thread. It's been really hard to control emotions and checking my emails waiting since May. My application is IDV only as they cancelled my in-person appointment.Following some of the suggestions not to book in-person appointments unless very urgent , waited a long time and at last I booked on 27/10/2020 however cancelled by UKVCAS on 15/10/2020. Hope this may help someone waiting since long time . Thank you everyone on this forum.

Approvals have definitely slowed down with the impact of lockdown 2.0. Maybe more HO workers are working from home now.

May be Saturday 14th Nov will be your big day and you receive your approval and dependant tomorrow :D

Jokes aside! They are still approving few of Oct set(O) although as mentioned the focus shifted to the backlog of IDV only users.

Hi all,
A quick question: what happens if by the time the BRP is ready to be sent out by the HO, I have moved to a new address?
Thanks in advance!!!
You will have to keep a contact at your old address. Also, you can use gov website to change address but how quick it reflects on the system is a question.
Thanks for your quick response. Which gov website do I use - can I change in advance as soon as I move (before I get the decision)? If not, I will be doing a Royal Mail redirection but not sure if they use Royal Mail?
Royal mail redirection can not be trusted with official mail. You can use:

https://visa-address-update.service.gov.uk/

Keeping a contact at your old address is recommended if possible.

Also, once you get an approval chase the courier company in 1-2 days after approval. They usually let you know about the delievery date.
Hi Cullinan
Thanks so much for your advice and support in the forum. I am pleased to say that I have received my BRP today at my current home address. What a relief that there's no need to go through the process of updating my address.
Just for info, my case is transfer of ILR to BRP and the total time from date of application to receipt of BRP is just under two months.

I agree CULLINAN, I just hope it does not get worse. There have been a total of 53 ILR approvals cross categories reported though since Thursday 5th Nov.

Hello, I’ve been following this forum for a while and found it very useful. Just want to share my good news after waiting for so long, finally received email from my solicitor to say brp approved. I applied on 20May, received invite to use IDV which was done on 11Sep, no dual submission and finally a positive response within the 6 months. Wish you all that are waiting all the best. Thank you

Indeed although these Set (M) decisions seem to take ages! Patience is definitely required, my partner is an early Sep applicant. Fingers crossed for everyone patiently waiting

I am early Sep SET(M) as well. You know with the HO you never know. 'May applicants' for instance have been forgotten for months and months and June/July were reviewed and getting approvals before even the first May approval was reported. Then August applicants were granted approvals since Sep and May applicants were still forgotten (just having very few approvals). I just have a nightmare in mind all the time that the HO will jump to October applications before they touch September applications like they have done with May applications. I really hope I'd be wrong.

Hi,
I'm August applicant, submitted app form on Aug 7th and rest of docs through IDV App on Sep 4th. Then I tried to book appointment in person to speed up, got free for Nov 4th, but it been cancelled week before as duplicated. Haven't heard from HO so far...

Hi all, I recently discovered this thread and have been following it every day. I hope someone here can help me understand what is happening as I'm very confused!

My husband applied for his spouse visa renewal (FLR) on 22nd May 2020, he submitted the application and paid all the required fees. My husband did not upload any documents at this time on his UKVCAS account as it was lockdown and some of his documents were not ready to upload.

In mid august my husband received the IDV app invitation. On September 22nd 2020 my husband uploaded all his documents and biometrics onto the IDV app, since then we have heard nothing. We are both getting really stressed as we do not know what is happening with his application and cannot understand why so many people who applied after my husband have received replies but we've heard nothing.

Can somebody explain to me why his application might be taking so long? is there an issue with IDV app applications? I would really appreciate any advice. Thank you in advance.

Pure luck. Try not to stress and stay positive. You will hear soon. Did you try to contact HO??
