Hi All,

I was eligible for ILR since 6th April but could not apply before lockdown happened and on June 4th applied when they opened back. Applied for ILR for me and my wife together.
More 15days to go to complete 6 months and hoping that I get it before that.

Our company has premium account with Home Office and that means we have dedicated account manager within HomeOffice for our organization and earlier this account manager was able to speed up process if they are stuck anywhere and has got quick responses to applications (before covid) and now their internal mechanism allows to raise complain only if 6months and no response is received, know this as our company's immigration team approached and got this response.

The delays that has been noted for applications within our organization is for those applying with dependents and not for those who have done individual application, for them it was received in 2months.
Very interesting. Without divulging too much information (of course) I'm assuming your employer is of a significant size. Can you divulge what industry/sector your employer operates in?
Our employer is an IT company and operates specifically in Telecom and Oil Industry.

Yes dependents tend to slow down the approval for SET(O).

You have just now answered a question that we have asked for so long; which is why SET(O) is faster than any other route. You have confirmed saying "Our company has premium account with Home Office and that means we have dedicated account manager within HomeOffice for our organization and earlier this account manager was able to speed up process if they are stuck anywhere and has got quick responses to applications (before covid)"

Hope you and your wife will get approval soon.
Thank you Ameline, decision letter received today! :)

Not sure if you have seen my timeline, I had applied for biometrics in person appointment once, it was cancelled and I applied again and this time not giving enough time for them to cancel. I have another job opportunity that I need to take and hence the "try all option" attitude!

We also raised a complaint on the Homeoffice site using the link provided by one of the users.

Finally we have received our decision letter.

@MonaB79

It is over 6 months since your husband applied for FLR, you have the right to contact them and get updates on your application. You can even get your local MP involved.

You can call them on:

UK Visas and Immigration contact centre
Telephone: 0300 123 2241
Monday to Thursday, 9am to 4:45pm
Friday, 9am to 4:30pm

or email them, the only email address for FLR that I am aware of is FLRMDocuments@homeoffice.gov.uk

Good luck.
I got a response on Monday 11 working days after escalating saying the escalation for my FLR(M) application had been passed onto the decision making team. I don't know if this is generic?

I had called about an hour earlier to and she told me 'the application is currently with a caseworker' - is this the case for all pending applications or does this indicate I may be receiving a decision soon?

1. Calling HomeOffice
2. Raising a complaint to HomeOffice
3. emailed to the caseworker who requested additional documents.
4. Escalate via company to HomeOffice account manager as our company was premium sponsorer.
5. In person biometric submission, even after it appointment was cancelled once, reapplied again.
6. Ready with email to MP to shoot once 6 months crossed.

@azlondon2020 - But don't forget @mahaveer had their application submitted in June so they had all the cards because home office had surpassed their published application SLA. I tried to call the Home office helpline today(just our of curiosity),if you are calling within 6 months of your application, it doesn't let you go further. I think options are limited. Have to wait this out. With Christmas approaching it is likely to slow down further. I do hope you get it in time for your next role though.

Already another week gone by.. anyone who applied end of July LR ILR still waiting?

I still havent heard back- and wonder if I'm not alone here, especially seeing everyone getting decisions from Mid August. :(

Getting anxious and really just want to get this decision before Christmas.. and I really hope I do then.

@jamd12, feel sorry for you. Have you ever held a Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa?

Sorry to hear you haven't had a decision yet mate. 5 Set LR July applicants are still waiting, 3 of whom have potentially complicated cases. Question for you...what visa routes have you been on in the last 10 years and were all your applications made in time and approved first time?

hmmm interesting. Yes, a few but at the risk of making you feel worse (but in the interest of transparency) that is 5 out of 45 July Set LR applicants still outstanding. If 3 are genuinely complex cases (seems like it from their post history, but I'm not the Home Office or UKVI, so I can't be certain), it would mean that they wouldn't follow the normal trend anyway. So that only leaves 2, yourself and @Amy_R88. Quite bizarre given your past visas, but then again they do say 6 months SLA. Just hang in there, it will come through eventually. Good luck! 🤞🍀

Thank you @ajitu92! Yes my case is pretty straightforward. Don't know if it has anything to do with applying through a solicitor too. But even from the beginning I always felt I had a bit more of a delay than others, as it took me a while to secure an appointment (7th September). So hoping im just a week or so behind now..
I know they say 6months, but looking at others who applied before the pandemic, the latest was always 5 months.. so really hoping it comes before xmas. Thank you so much for the support

Thanks for the clarity. I was also going to call, but as you said you cannot really get any further without waiting the 6 months. I do hope I get an answer before Christmas! I have done ILR Set (O) without dependents and have been on a Tier 2 the whole time for the last 5 years between 2 sponsors, my solicitors said my application is pretty straightforward, and I shouldn't worry, but all this black hole of waiting without an update makes me worry! Thanks all for the support. Reading these forums is really helping the waiting process.

I know they say 6months, but looking at others who applied before the pandemic, the latest was always 5 months.. so really hoping it comes before xmas. Thank you so much for the support
You're most welcome! Ah! Yes, there were some issues reported for people who applied through solicitors a few months back (during the lockdown). Are you in regular and constant contact with your solicitor?

Firstly, CONGRATS!

Secondly, I am in the same boat of a pending Job Offer awaiting my ILR, what was your "try all options" strategy?
Hi,
What is the current Set O timelines? it seems people giving biometrics in October are receiving decision within 2 weeks? i just gave my biometrics on 13th Nov, still waiting.

Thanks

Sorry to hear you haven't had a decision yet mate. 5 Set LR July applicants are still waiting, 3 of whom have potentially complicated cases. Question for you...what visa routes have you been on in the last 10 years and were all your applications made in time and approved first time?
@ajitu92

I see, so a few left from this forum.
I was basically on Tier 4 Student Visas for 9 years, from boarding school, to universities, from 2010-2019
And now I am currently on an Tier 2 Employer Work Visa since 2019 !
hmmm interesting. Good luck! 🤞🍀
