Hi Sean2606

100% agree. My wife works also. In fact, her company is now questioning her Right to Work. The process for companies to check (ECS) is so convoluted for HR clerks to follow. We are working with them to resolve but with no or very little information to contribute (just an application reference number), it is only adding to the frustration. This may have become off topic, but still relevant none the less.

Hi Sean2606

I agree, it's nice to see others getting their approvals but with no apparent reason why some categories are prioritised over others. Or are Set (M) applicants simply not posting their results? It's super frustrating - with no way of checking other than calling and receiving the "well it hasn't been 6 months yet" answer. I haven't called because I know that I will be upset to hear those words.

At the same time, I read recently of someone calling only to be told that their biometrics had been lost. Whether that is true or not only adds additional uncertainty to the whole "situation." I was going to say process, but it isn't really a process is it.

Hi Limey10, there was a Sep SET(M) who received their decision. I too read the post where HO said they had misplaced the applicant's biometrics, shameful!! that HO couldn't be bothered to contact the applicant and ask them to redo their biometrics.

Other kinds of applications are receiving quicker decisions due to them "contributing to the economy" ! but my wife works too and pays tax so does contribute in a way.

Congratulations Amy_R88. Finally... You got it
Please update the timeline
5.5 months for you too I believe
I have updated the timeline. Can you tell me would i get some tracking no etc for BRP? Also do I need to return expired brp before I receive the new one or can I wait until I get new brp card?
You should get a BRP dispatch email from UKVI/Home Office in 3-4 working days. That will contain your consignment number and a link to the TNT Final Mile Delivery tracking website.

You should wait until you get your ILR BRP before returning your current one. After you check over your ILR BRP to ensure that it is accurate and correctly printed, you can send the expired one back.
Thanks i have received an email from brp courier delivery with consignment number on 16th but everytime I enter that into tnt tracking link, it doesn't bring up anything but the details are not correct or no details found.

Consignment number is in the format of 100xxxxxx. How to track the delivery? I rang tnt but it was a really long wait.... any email address to chase that?
Use the link in the email. That's the only one that works. Also note that the tracking info won't show up until your BRP is at the local TNT depot and there's a delivery date assigned.

@poper - haha, I know! August and September (together) Set LR summary below. These are only the ones that have been reported. As we know and have seen, some people only post timelines after their application has been approved, so there may be more to come.

Total number of applicants = 142
Number of applications decided = 130
Number of outstanding applications = 12

August:
Total number of applicants = 101
Number of applications decided = 97
Number of outstanding applications = 4 (@mm1990 - 9th August, Fb user - 21st August, @Jubilatedeo and @poper - 29th August)

September:
Total number of applicants = 41
Number of applications decided = 33
Number of outstanding applications = 8
Latest (non-escalated) approval = 11th September
NOTE: September is currently heavily skewed towards the start of the month as only those people have posted timelines on the forum. 1st-15th September has 37 datapoints/applicants whereas 16th-30th September only has 4 datapoints/applicants at the moment
Hi ajitu92 does this list include SET(M)? is there any stats about the status of SET(M)s? Applied for my wife's SET(M) on 19/08/20 but still no news, just wanted to see how many more SET(M)s are waiting for a decision.
Nope, sorry. That is for Set LR only. Apologies but I don't have stats for Set (M). @Ameline did have Set (M) stats but not sure whether s/he is still keeping them updated.

Is no one posting on the ILR Set(LR) timeline or really there were no applications decided since yesterday, 18/Jan. If someone received approval, please post on the timeline. Thanks!

Received my BRP :D
Noticed it does not have a ‘yellow chip’ like my last one. Is this normal? I am guessing it’s probably newer technology but wanted to confirm!

Thanks

Hi just a quick question from you. How long does it take for your b rp to arrive after approval? As I got the approval same date as yours but my tracking doesn't work.. I am entering the number starting with 100 in consignment and postcode in too. Am I supposed to contact tnt if link isn't working?

Reassuring to finally see a set(m) approval in the timeline. 17 weeks. My husband is on week 13 so fingers crossed it won’t take 6 months
Visa Granted: 22nd September 2015
Visa extension granted. March 2018

I still have the approved ones statistics but got fed up with the Home Office as they are just useless and unfair.

They have been steady - more or less - focusing on June Set(M) applications from 5th to 30th Nov (3.5 weeks) having approved 24 applications DAILY, then they were focusing on July Set(M) applications from 30th Nov to 6th Jan (5.5 weeks) having approved 26 applications DAILY. July took them longer than June applications due to Xmas and New Year and also staff who have obviously left their annual leave till December due to pandemic).

They are currently processing Set(M) August applications daily since 7th Jan with one September (24th) approved today (we dont know yet if this is just an exception).

There are at least 20 applicants waiting from Aug and at least 20 waiting from September. These are just the data I got from this forum and fb, which is a very small fraction of the real number of the pending applications who are not posting their timeline anywhere.

So they might spend January assessing the remaining from August applications and February processing most of September applications, or they might mix them as there was an approval today for 24th September applicant. Don't be surprised as well if you see few October/November/December approvals shortly as they like making big jumps from time to time.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
I received my decision 14th and BRP 19th so 5 days.
I got an email from HO on the 15th titled ‘your biometric card is on its way’ (I’m guessing you got the same).
I entered my postcode and consignment number in the tracking link provided same day and it worked for me... showed my contact details and stated delivery date as 18/01/2021. However on the 18th the delivery date changed to 19/01/2021. And I received it today.

I’ve noticed from this board that for some people the tracking didn’t work but they received BRP within 10 working days. FedEx could have just not entered the details for your BRP into the system yet.

I am sure your BRP will arrive soon but if you can find a number maybe try calling TNT/fedex? No harm in double checking I guess.

Goodluck!

This might rub salt on wounds for SET(M) and SET(LR) applicants.

Appears super priority service has been opened for SET(O) applicants:

Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

Set (O) applications were getting decisions in 30 days anyway.

Why not for Set (LR)..!!!

That's the point. Given that they have cleared most backlogs and are able to decide in 30 days, it would make sense to charge people for a quicker decision. They may not be able to do the same for other categories because there are still loads of backlogs and it could be different departments dealing with various categories. I am not saying it is right. Just speculating about their motives.

Super. Thanks for this
Thank you proper, this is massively helpful. Would it be fair to assume that the forum applicants may in some way correlate to the actual pool of SET LR applicants in the UK, i.e. skewed towards the first half of September, and that we might see quicker approvals for the second half? :?:

I'm praying HO gets to Oct applicants sooner rather than later.
You need to thank ajitu92 actually :)
I think you read only part of what ajitu92 said. People frequently enter their timeline only on receiving a decision which is why there is a skew.
You should see new members in the later half of September posting in the forum on receiving a decision
Apologies and thank you to ajitu92!

Hopefully they don't forget about those Set O applications who applied in Dec and Jan. Wouldn't be the first time they've let applications fall through the cracks.

Thanks for this great info @Ameline ... It gives us some hope for September SET(M) applications.
