Super Priority is again available and I must use this option as I have to travel urgently.

The problem is that I have applied and paid, I was about to submit documents in the morning and my biometrics appointment is in a weeks time.

Does anyone know how I could add the super priority to my application? Or what steps I must take to use it? My BRP still has 2 weeks left before it expires.

1) Firstly run a dummy application and make sure the SP option shows up on the payment page for your route. It is a recent development and looks like the system is not updated yet (maybe). Read the previous comments (apparently it is open for SET(LR) also but as of yesterday it did not show on the payment page).

2) If you see the SP service option for your route in the dummy application, you would get that option then.

3) You may wish to withdraw your application. As long you did not submit biometrics AND you have current visa validity, you can withdraw this application and apply for a NEW application BEFORE current visa expiry. You should get the refund for the first application in due course.

Note: Point one is important. You do not want to withdraw your application and then end up not seeing any SP option on the new application so make sure first.

Note for readers: Do not attempt to do the above if you have submitted biometrics already OR your current visa is expired already.

Anyone else has any trouble contacting UKVI via the helpline? I've been trying for 2 days now, there's an automated message saying "The office is closed, please call during working hours".

That’s so strange it still won’t show up for me as an option even after creating a new dummy application?

I’m sorry for the constant posting I’m quite worried since my application deadline is coming up and standard service isn’t an option for me due to student finance deadlines, do you have any contacts for the home office at all where I can ask for help getting super priority? I’m worried it’s not really available for LR now

We have applied on Set (O) Ancestry, and this has a super priority option as of today, 1 April. I don’t think super priority is open for all routes. You would need to check the link and see if your route has the priority option.
When we applied, it was available on the payment page.

Please how did you cancel the initial standard application and book the new super priority? Did you get an immediate response that the application has been withdrawn. I am asking bcos my spouse visa is valid till end of next week and don't want a case where they will take long to respond that application has been withdrawn since I have to reapply for a new set m using super priority. Thanks in advance

Hi All,

Just found out that super priority is now available for SET(M). I have previously booked a biometric appointment for 15th April in Birmingham - based on the advice on this thread, I started another application using a different email address.

When starting a new application, you're asked if you have an application already submitted and that submitting a new one invalidates the previous one.
Do you currently have an application with the Home Office for leave to remain for which you have not yet received a decision?

If you have submitted any other applications to the Home Office which have not yet been decided then submitting this application varies those previous applications. This means that only this application, which you are now completing, will now be considered.
I've reached the Pay stage and I can see super priority option available, my questions are;

1 - is there any special way to cancel a previous application (biometric not given)
2 - should I go ahead and submit this new application?
3 - how do you request a refund?

Any help appreciated

Just apply as you did. As long you mentioned the details for the pending previous application, your previous application will be automatically withdrawn and a refund will be issued in due course. Take the new application as a fresh application and book biometrics and upload/submit documents after payment.

You may also withdraw your previous application here:

Thanks I have submitted and paid for the new application and also booked the Biometric. Just to confirm the application number I'm meant to provide is the one ending /00 or the one after payment which is UKVI_?

Dear All,

Just checked the recent posts on this thread and the UKVI website. It appears that Super Priority service is now made available for SET (M) applications. I had submitted by application on 9th March and my biometrics is scheduled on 6th April (right after Easter break). Do I still have an option of withdrawing my application and submit a new one or is it too late now? If I go ahead with the Standard service and submit biometrics it is likely to take 5-6 months whereas it's only a matter of days for super priority service. I have my visa valid till June '21.
What would be the practical thing to do here? Appreciate some experienced advise.

There is an online form that you complete to do the withdrawal before you can reapply. We had to pay a second time, and the refund will take 14 days. If you have already done biometrics, I don’t think you get refunded. To be polite, I will hold my opinion on this!

Also, be very careful and do not withdraw an application if your leave to remain or visa has expired, as you will then be unable to re-apply and could be deported. We fortunately had 2 weeks to go before our visas run out.
