I have one doubt here now. OhBoy can clear it. Can Sopra Steria people see preview of ur documents?
If not then paper versions should be taken to them as well. I remember attending premium service in past and they check each and every document very carefully. Even point out if u signed differently on 2 documents and make u correct it.

Can they download ur files? Lets say u uploaded in wrong category, can they move? I assume they cant move but remove and thats why they want you to bring it to them in hard copies.

Yes.
Which is why it is good. An uploaded document might be illegible, just as an example. If so, they will rescan it, and upload it for you. Or maybe scan or move a document to the correct category.

Don’t forget, if there’s a few days between your uploading of files, and your appointment - they’ll email you if anything mandatory is missing (or not in the right place). But if, like me, your appointment follows on quite quickly after uploading of documents - time to notify you of omissions might not work... for this reason, I took everything with me... I don’t say I needed to have it with me - but I might have...

Useful link.

It says to bring all supporting documents so basically we need all hardcopies.

I like the way you guys are supporting each other on your application. Make it as simple as possible, also there is no crime in taking all your original docs with you, just in case you miss something out or one of the scanned doc is not legible etc. Wish you best of luck and keep us posted as things unfolds

I believe you are right bizman, keep things as simple as possible and if in ANY doubt, carry everything. And I must mention, what a fantastic resource this board is...
My Sopra appointment was on the 21st. On the 24th I got an email informing me the the application has been granted. I imagine ours was a pretty straightforward application, as the decision was reached really fast... But, I’m pretty sure that without this board, the application may we’ll have failed - one of the mods made reference to ensure that our ielts certificate was “the required” B1. Without this simple intervention, I think we’d have arrived at Sopra with the old ielts certificate, which was possibly not the required standard. That simple bit of knowledge could have scuppered a £3,000 application. Of course, all the pertinent information regarding B1 and LIUK requirements is available - but somehow, I’d missed it...
Many will disagree. But imagine paying £3,000+, arranging an appointment, travelling over 100 miles and finding that something didn’t upload properly (as you cannot see the quality of forms that you upload, only that you uploaded them) - or worse, something is missing completely... only to find that you travelled without that particular document... Me... I uploaded what I thought was everything to the correct sections, and a took everything with me too. Belt and braces...
Now it just remains for holiday post to clear, and for the arrival of the decision letter and BRP in due course.
Thanks to all for help and support... and best of luck to all who are still in the process...

User 'ohboy' has NOT applied for a Tier 1 route application. They have applied Set M after 5 years on a spouse settlement visa route.

Many thanks CR001 for the clarification, not to worry ohboy, we are only looking forward to the outcomes of applications through the tier1 route just to understand the timescale using the latest UKVAC digital system. I don’t think we have received any such outcome yet since it started.

It went well. I arrived 30 min earlier to appointment. They did not ask for proof of address. I was issued a token and was called after 3 people; 5 min earlier to appointment time. They checked my passport and appointment print and did biometrics. Then put me on wait for 40 minutes because they forgot my token number. First i thought they might be checking documents according to visa categories as all called before me were there for citizenship applications. But when 4 people after me were called over, i asked at desk and was told it was their mistake as they thought i was done. So i was called soon after that. The boy who verified my documents had no idea what he is looking at (It was the only active desk as they total had 2 )? He went through documents checklist and did not know what they are? Then he asked me why i have payslips in business category while it should be in sponsors/employment section. He asked same question for CAR. I told him those are not my wage slips? He was like then who are those for? Then i explained that i am on entrepreneur visa and they are my company's employees. He called another member (who was not serving at desk but issuing token only; the only help available to him) to verify my statement and then accepted it. Then he asked me about proof of absence; i said i am exempt of providing it according to guidance notes and he asked me where are those notes and i replied on UKVI website and he again called that member to verify it. Then that man kept standing besides us until all my documents were verified. They did not scan my passport though i specifically asked if they need to. Finally before hitting submit, he asked me if i know about my documents being ok or if i want them to scan any document for me.
Positive thing about Sopra: Though they don't know much about documents but putting an effort to do it rightly.
Negative: They don't have complete knowledge of what they are doing which should not be the case at this level. I am still wondering why they ask for £35 to verify documents when they even don't know about documents.
Once again thanks a lot to all forum members especially Tier11417 as i could not have done it by myself and no one should rely on Sopra at all.

Thank you for providing the feedback about your appointment.
I can relate to your experience as I also had to explain about a couple documents to the lady checking my documents as she did not have any idea what they are.

Anyways, you done with it now. Goodluck for a speedy successful decision! Keep us all posted!

Thank you

Q) Are you still able to access your sopra account? I still can access it lol

And the guy at desk did not know that Sopra charge £35 for document verification and neither he knew that some appointment slots ask for extra money (i found it very strange though). He was very talkative and kept asking me about my work. he also said that he is not interviewing me but found my work interesting and thats why talking about it. He also talked about my country and its political situation etc. I think this is not relevant to Sopra appointment's experience but worth sharing to point out that they have friendly staff not very grumpy/extra professional people who served at premium service desks.

Yes u said last time that i cant do it after 10pm but i can still access it. But i think once they have verified documents, it should have transferred to UKVI and whatever we do now with documents will stay at Sopra website only and will have no link to UKVI. How come u are able to access it as u had done ur appointment a week earlier? Are u able to upload or remove documents?
I am so worried now if Sopra has sent our documents to UKVI?
